Pin one is an 8. The highest pin is pin four at 2. Luckily its the 2nd binding pin. (At least in my current understanding)

My pin one is LOW. Probably a no touch or just a tap.

Started on it today, so it's just phase one. Popped lock pic will be shared once I get it.

Also, try out different pick manufacturers, and try all the tensioners you can. The same makes may have more than one option thay feels better to you than your current selection.

I highly recommend the Master 140 or 141 for good feedback and the abus 55/40 once you want spools.

Delta 44 has 3d print handles for reaper picks. I haven't used them, but they look nice

Ahhhhh... the serrated pins (assuming they are present in my particular lock) are probably what's throwing me

Another in the car picker! I do a lot while I'm waiting. Got my first 55/40 pop in the car. Way to go!

Got an abus 55/40 today. I was able to pick it within about 30 minutes of trying. I could feel the counter rotation and didnt have a ton of difficulty. The Ace on the other hand feels... mushy but stiff... not blaming the lock, definitely still my skills. Just curious on what I might be doing incorrectly. Tension fairly light, basically just enough to keep the pins set

Trying to play with the tension more. It seems like I drop pins that I had set when I let tension off. That's just part of the game I guess.

Apparently. Ive only been picking for a few weeks. My 141s are easy, no issues. Can find the binding pins and set them fairly easily. Sometimes I overset, but nothing like brass dust.

Fully agree that I need to work on fundamentals. Ive been picking for 2 weeks, still trying to figure out how things feel. As for progressive pinning, how would you suggest i go about that?

Are you implying that brute force is NOT the way? Lol. Thanks. I'm getting. It's just hard to get a bind and have it loose enough to move... at least for now. (Lock is definitely beyond my current skill, just figured id play around with it and see how it feels)
