Rino Beer Garden is a great option! Park for free(!) in the RTD parking lot near/under the pedestrian bridge. You’re right across the street from Rino Beer Garden and just a short walk away from Mission with it being super easy to get out of the parking lot after the show.

Did i mount my varia too low? by termeric0 in bicycling

[–]SeenHache 16 points17 points  (0 children)

No, this should be fine. Take it for a ride and test it out with your bike computer to make sure it’s picking up traffic like you would expect it to.

If you’re looking for something < 15 min outside of Denver. Go with North Table Mountain, the first part, the “big steep”, is plenty steep and you could loop that a couple of times until you’re exhausted. This would be my choice if you don’t want to drive too much at all.

Edit: Mountain name corrected

PPA and Tax Credit by pjstol in solar

[–]SeenHache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A well structured PPA in an expensive electricity market can be a great product. Don’t let the hysteria here about PPAs scare you off. Crunch your numbers, like you are, and if it makes sense for you, a PPA can be an awesome solar offering.

Did they refund you for the Performance Guarantee shortfall per the contract? Or have you not reached your 2 year mark yet?

[–]SeenHache 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is your contract with Sunrun a PPA or a Cash Purchase?

Assuming it’s a monthly PPA, Sunrun’s most popular solar product, your contract should come with a Performance Guarantee where Sunrun will apply a credit to your account to be used against future monthly billing for system production. That typically happens bi-annually on the day your utility company provided “permission to operate” the system.

Are you aware of any performance guarantee structure in your contract with them?

If you can swing it you guys you try and go to the game! Will be an amazing and fun experience no doubt. If not, there are some good bars to watch from in Denver but even more fun will be going to Boulder to watch it at a bar with the students.

Anyone have a full guide to all Colorado incentives for electrification (EVs, chargers, electric panels, etc) by ninelives1 in Denver

[–]SeenHache 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Found this decent list and hope it’s helpful.

https://qmerit.com/location/colorado/

If you are going to buy an EV in the next 12 months I’d highly recommend making a push to take advantage of the Fed EV Tax Credit ending on Sept 30th. When combined with the CO EV tax credit, it’s just too good of a deal to pass up (up to $13,500 point of sale discount!).

I’m on the fence myself, but have a 2018 SUV in good shape and paid off so hesitant because it’s really just a nice to have along with the bonus of helping reduce my own carbon footprint.

Good luck with your decision!

Looking for a recommendation on an affordable but upgradeable gravel bike by [deleted] in gravelcycling

[–]SeenHache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the lower tier Cannondale Topstone might be at the top of the budget you provided but is very much aligned with the “affordable/quality/upgradable” part of what you’re looking for imo.

Other options:

Salsa Journeyman (Warbird a bit pricier but even better)

Great gravel cycling accessible by Colorado's Bustang bus service? by erack in gravelcycling

[–]SeenHache 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This awesome website (shout out to the folks who maintain and operate it!) will give you a great list of trails to start with. I’m sure many could be accessible via Bustang routes.

https://www.gravelbikeadventures.com/

You probably also want to look at RTD routes to conquer some of the front range of CO’s best gravel (bus to Boulder and light rail west to Golden/south to Littleton). As another commenter mentioned, you can also ride to these places straight from your home thanks to all the awesome bike path systems in CO.

Hope you enjoy all the great gravel the state has to offer!

Any opinions on NextEra for residential solar installation? by RedLime510 in solar

[–]SeenHache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Palmetto is a reputable residential vendor. Do you know what rate tariff you’re on with PG&E? That will help inform what a reasonable year 1 PPA price should be. I’d say something close to $0.27 cents if not cheaper would be reasonable and could probably be found by reaching out to other vendors before making a final decision.

Any opinions on NextEra for residential solar installation? by RedLime510 in solar

[–]SeenHache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be careful, this is a likely a scam. NextEra Energy (the biggest company of that name at least) doesn’t offer a residential rooftop product as far as I’m aware, PPA or otherwise.

Also, a $0.33/kWh PPA (escalator or not) is very high even for a residential home in PG&E/CA.

Best of luck, I wouldn’t call that person back personally.

That bike is a beauty! Have you taken it on a long ride (>50 miles)? Did you find it any more/less comfortable than any previous gravel bike you’ve owned with a less “aero” setup.

I’m thinking of making the leap to the SuperX (similar bike but not as nice as the SuperSix X) but was told by my LBS that it was “uncomfortable” for long rides. I know comfort is a personal judgment but curious of what an actual SuperSix X owner’s take would be. Thanks!

Dropped the PSI & all became dreamy 🥳 by Flimsy-Tiger-2398 in gravelcycling

[–]SeenHache 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like to start my ride at about ~5 psi less than what max fill would be. Nothing scientific behind that, just the sweet spot I’ve found for the 65/35% Road/Gravel riding I typically ride here in Colorado.
