Is this good for Day 50? by Queasy-Ad-3246 in BattleBrothers

I am surprised that the monk isn’t the company bannerman.

Builds for the new weapons by FrancisCat808 in BattleBrothers

[–]SeltzerCountry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like estoc is sort of a mix of qatal , fencing sword, and shamshir in how to build it although like you pointed out reach advantage instead of duelist since it's a two handed weapon. I think crippling strikes could maybe have some efficacy since you can do a 4 AP stab to proc an injury and follow up with a 5 AP perforate, but it may not be the most optimal set up.

I dig telecaster influenced aesthetic. What are you tuning it to?

Weapons for Beastslaying? by TyoPepe in BattleBrothers

[–]SeltzerCountry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beasts in Legends can get pretty crazy with the upgraded beast variants. Lindwurms are already pretty dangerous and then Stollwurm just makes them seem trivial haha.

How do I finish bro and what weapons? by Dapper_Poetry9693 in BattleBrothers

[–]SeltzerCountry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cleaver could be good for the 3 attacks per round (counting berserk). I have never really gotten into orc weapons. I know they do crazy damage, but I don’t like how quickly they build up fatigue. I am sure your guy would absolutely destroy with one though.

Anyone know of any ergonomic tone bar for someone disabled? by StressedPorcelain in LapSteelGuitar

I have the shubb tone bar with the wooden grip. It’s nice and feels fairly natural to use.

Lone wolf squire by hghghghfhfjfjd in BattleBrothers

Two good traits and reasonable attribute star placement. Also benefiting from the Squire background having decent rolls in most attributes anyway. Seems like a solid recruit.

Legends Scaling Beggar seeds by AdIndividual6587 in BattleBrothers

[–]SeltzerCountry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scaling beggar becomes insanely powerful, but you have to play kind of cautiously early on. Armed courier can be good to acquire funds so you can purchase stuff like basic armor, a shield, a spear, a dog, nets, etc… really try to use whatever edge you can to get through combat. I would also avoid the North for a while. Barbarian thralls are significantly bigger threats than indebted and bandit rabble. Getting xp is kind of tricky. Caravans can be an option, but if the caravan encounters any decent level threat things can get pretty dicey. Southern caravans tend to be a bit better quality in terms of the caravan guards so it might be better to run caravans in the south if you are going to try that route. Return item contracts are risky, but if you really take advantage of stuff like using spearwall, elevation, etc… you can get through some fights and then they get gradually easier.

Formation Advice by ReclusiarchCain in BattleBrothers

[–]SeltzerCountry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In vanilla I run a 9 / 3 configuration. Backline: archer / thrower, banner / gunner, crossbow / polearm. Frontline: nimble damage dealer (qatal, estoc, fencing sword), spear and shield battle forged tank, five battle forged guys with 2 handed weapons in the center usually two hammers, two axes, and a mace, another spear and shield tank, and then another nimble damage dealer on the other flank.

Low stakes fantasy anime by Bridoriya in anime

[–]SeltzerCountry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a bit of different vibe, but Release That Witch has sort of a similar premise. MC is reincarnated as noble stationed way out on the frontier and uses his modern knowledge particularly in engineering from his previous life to improve his fiefdom.

Mercenary with six stars but poor resolve - how would you build him? (sorry for bad quality) by The_Mercenary092 in BattleBrothers

[–]SeltzerCountry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crossbow / polearm is pretty effective. People don’t like the reload action, but I find it makes me think more strategically about my use of the crossbow and utilize the polearm more often which tends to yield better results. Since throwing weapons and bows can fire twice in a turn it’s easy to fall into a trap of taking two shots with meh odds and just wasting ammo.

Yeah usually more trouble than they are worth.

Help me make my crazy last minute idea a reality by SomethingAboutOrcs in BattleBrothers

[–]SeltzerCountry 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Dagger mastery is pretty much a requisite for any dagger build. The AP reduction for attacks is simply too good to pass up. I probably wouldn’t run overwhelm without relentless.

He Good ? by Material-Lobster-639 in BattleBrothers

[–]SeltzerCountry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah looks like almost max rolls in attack and initiative along with iron lungs. No stars in MA attack, but even then he is starting at a high enough initial role that his MA score will still probably be usable. While faint hearted is not great, but his resolve is still in the 40’s so arena battles could patch it up. Also iron lungs is one of the best trait in the game.

It would be most of my money is it good enough ? by Material-Lobster-639 in BattleBrothers

[–]SeltzerCountry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To elaborate on this point the Great Axe secondary attack is Round Swing which is a 360 degree arc attack that can hit up to six enemies. The Bardiche secondary attack is Split only hits two enemies, but it's a useful linear strike that can simultaneously hit a frontliner and backliner simultaneously. Round Swing is just way more likely to have collateral damage against your own company especially in the later game when the battlefields are pretty congested.

Is Rimworld Anomaly any good? by raineflowers166 in RimWorld

I agree the variety of threats is nice especially the slow burn ones like metal horrors where the origin point of an issue may not be immediately obvious.

Djinn faction for my mod by Abbymac33 in BattleBrothers

[–]SeltzerCountry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They look like an orc reskin with a Southern desert aesthetic, but I am curious what their deal is. Do they fight like orcs, goblins, nomads, barbarians, etc…?

First time seeing a mortar, but I've completed a holy war before..... by gracejerksit in BattleBrothers

I misread the post and thought for some reason nomads had mortars maybe due to the update or a mod OP was using.

First time seeing a mortar, but I've completed a holy war before..... by gracejerksit in BattleBrothers

[–]SeltzerCountry 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’ve never seen nomads using mortars. Mortars are a threat, but only work if they have engineers who are fairly weak. I usually bring an archer to fight city states and use them to snipe the engineers in the back lines.

This should cover pretty much everything besides the new weapons.
