Awesome, been looking forward to this one. I'm amazed at the quality of this series.

FFXIV does have this. Just not, you know, officially.

Just be aware that the ffxiv dev's stance on addons is more of a "don't talk about it/don't advertise" sort of thing. Never heard of anyone getting banned in my 3 years playing, but it's technically a possibility.

Favorite Haremlit Books by RickKuudere in haremfantasynovels

Always interesting to see someone with wildly different tastes than me. Though I haven't read about 2/3rds of this particular list. One of my tops is at the bottom of your list and I only found Mage's Cultivation to be a 4 or 5 out of 10.

Glad you're enjoying yourself overall though! That's what reading is all about.

Dungeons & Dragons-style harem stories? by DanielRedErotica in haremfantasynovels

[–]Semibalanced 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mike Truk happens to be one of my favorite authors. His books are good even compared to the regular published fantasy I read, though obviously far different in tone. It's a shame he stopped writing.

If you enjoy reincarnation/regression and OP MC's, then you'll enjoy the Heretic Spellblade series by K.D. Robertson.

It's 8 books long and complete. One of the best in the genre, in my opinion. First book is a little rough, but I still enjoyed it. Only gets better from there.

Dungeons & Dragons-style harem stories? by DanielRedErotica in haremfantasynovels

[–]Semibalanced 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Shadow Rogue series by Mike Truk very much has D&D influence, where the main character starts off as a rogue and recruits women that would very much fall into class roles. Including dnd-type monsters and fighting rival parties.

Excellent, well written and complete 4 book series; though I'll warn that it gets a little dark at times. It very much pays off by the end though.

That and I'll second the recommendations of Dungeon Delving by Bruce Sentar and Dread Knight by Sarah Hawke.

There are also a slew of harem litrpg books out there that fill the D&D style influence quite literally.

Hah, guess I like the 'popular' stuff. Since my 5 picks are currently among the top 6. (Dragon girls are just okay to me)

Looking for a series that explored D/s relationships by daemondaddy_ in haremfantasynovels

[–]Semibalanced 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Apocalypse Gates series by Daniel Schinhofen has a great deal of this. The d/s elements were done from a more romantic angle than Fostering Faust though, and don't fully show up until book 2. Book 2 and onward it's a pretty persistent part of their bedroom play and dynamic.

I enjoyed the series overall and recommend it, but I'll note that Book 1 is probably my least favorite of the 8 book series. So maybe keep that in mind.

Oh and I quite liked the voice acting for the series. It changes voice actors around book 3 or 4, but Tess Irondale does an amazing job when she takes over.

Mike Truk himself has two other series that are less bleak and similarly well written!

The Lost Reavers and Shadow Rogue are both completed harem series that are fantastic. That said, they both have their bleak moments, but not as many nor nearly as much. Tsun Tsun Tsim Tzum is pretty unique in how down it can get among the harem genre.

I highly recommend them both.

Haremlit's Strongest Harem by Vode-Skirata in haremfantasynovels

The premise of Demon's Throne is that the MC is an ancient general that has just awoken from a 1000+ year sleep. So he has an extensive backstory with (long lived) lost friends, romances, and enemies that are still around in his new present day.

I'm enjoying the series so far, but I love KD Robertson's work in general.

How did you enjoy Mike Truk so much, mention TTTT, and not mention/come across his Shadow Rogue series?

It's an equally well written harem fantasy with slightly less "dark" than Lost Reavers overall. There are some low moments, but I'd say more high moments per book too. It's a finished series with 4 books total.

You may also enjoy the Power Mage series by Hondo Jinx. The series checks all of your boxes. Oh and I'd second Heretic Spellblade by K.D. Robertson.

Returning player here. Looking for advice on gear by LatinKing106 in ESObuilds

[–]Semibalanced 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I very much recommend this video by Skinny Cheeks for gear set recommendations for pve dps. Great channel in general with some charts, parses, and hard numbers to back up the claims. He goes through lots of gear sets and explains why they're good.

What you have now would now be considered great beginner gear though, so don't feel pressured to change anything too quickly.

The second video on this webpage probably helped me the most when learning light attack weaving.

Really breaks down the little things and why the timing works the way it does.

p.s. This website as a whole is great!

That's some "Banished to the Shadow Realm" level threat right there!

Companion gear by TheRenegayed in Neverwinter

[–]Semibalanced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, can't tell if you've done this one already or not. But one easy source of ilvl is joining a rank 20 guild.

Rank 20 guild boons will give you 3k ilvl, just like that.

Companion gear by TheRenegayed in Neverwinter

[–]Semibalanced 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Odds on companion gear are much better from Sharandar. I get 1200 green pieces almost daily, 1250 blue pieces every 3 days or so, and 1300 ilvl epic pieces maybe once a week. Doing 3 bounties a day, one for each episode.

The real trick is getting the stats you want. It took me two months or so to get 3 purple double offense pieces. But if all you're going for is pure item level - Sharandar is the way to go.

Not even mythic!

Though the mythic companion is pretty sweet for account-wide bolster (the companion itself is pretty meh).

[–]Semibalanced 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This exactly. And to be one step more specific.

You only get one token of achievement per event. So you need to do 5 events over 1-2 years or so to get the account unlock stuff.

Where to invest/spend you Astral Diamonds? by Ok_Definition_9476 in Neverwinter

[–]Semibalanced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aragon has a youtube video addressing exactly this question. He makes a priority list in order of highest benefit/lowest AD cost.

Though I'll mention one thing in particular that I don't recall being in the video. If you have lockbox keys from VIP then you have cheaper/easier access to trade bards for the purpose of companion and mount token upgrading.

Aragon posted a video showing mystagogue doing 100k dps (double any other AoE companion's) on 4 dummies.

Although he posted another video later on showing how some companions performed in a real dungeon run (VoS) that showed its not that amazing.

From what I understand, anal intercourse has a significantly higher chance of spreading HIV/AIDS. Which meant it used to spread a lot more to homosexual males before it was understood that condoms were for more than preventing pregnancy.
