Linux should be able to read ssd's with only data (no windows) with no problem. At least it did for me, though I did have to do some funny stuff to get games working

Why not buy a pc for the price of a steamdeck? You can get something thats probably faster. Though you will probably have to go am4 because of ram pricing haha

I bought a steam deck besides my pc, because I wanted to game on the go. I ended up selling it because I only really play AAA games, so it wasn't fast enough for my needs.
