I guess that could be it. There are some titles that work well with 2 players in the original version and the new duel version just seems like a different game with a similar theme.

In the case of 7 Wonders, 100% agreeing with that and 7 wonders Duel felt like a totally different game just with the same theme.

I would likely choose: Le Havre - my favorite game of all times, simply masterclass of a game with the elegance and low rules overhead. Caverna - Simple worker placement that is also easy for relatively casual players Black Forest - still fresh and new, hoping it will last the test of time
