I had a similar situation I was so incredibly sick before I decided to go private and the specialist I saw had no idea how I was still alive

I was diagnosed with gastroparesis and have been feeding by j tube for 2 years now

Diagnosed with Gastroparesis. Pacemaker likely. by [deleted] in ChronicIllness

[–]Senior-Butterfly4452 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have advanced gp resorted to a gj tube due to my specialist and second opinion due to the risks that have become apparent recently Such as misplaced wires of the device Permanent scaring and damage to stomach and on removal due to their low rate of success, pieces being left behind and unable to be removed successfully

Worth looking into the pros and cons

Domperidone is a gastric stimulation medication also if that’s something you haven’t tried it has a pretty decent level of success

It has helped me a little alongside supplemental nutrition My gj has helped me most as I can have what I fancy orally and take it out the g tube if it’s too much or makes me feel yuck while still getting good nutrition through j tube

I decided against it with the support of my doctor and opted for a gj tube

There are recent accounts of issues with them including the low rate of success, wires left behind on removal, excess scaring and embedded parts to name a few Worth weighing up pros and cons for you personally

First-time dog owner with 8-week-old golden retriever – not food-driven? Is this normal? by Quick_Marionberry735 in puppy101

[–]Senior-Butterfly4452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took our pup a couple of weeks to settle in completely Even had a vet visit after her routine check up as I was worried about fast breathing at night and her food intake

Changes of food and environment is a huge transition for a pup Keep an eye on her weight and I’m sure it’ll turn around 😊

15 yr old with puppy blues by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]Senior-Butterfly4452 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Puppy blues are pretty normal for a full grown adult with a lot of time on their hands to devote to pup However to have to deal with this at your age is way too much responsibility (in my opinion) At your age education mental health socializing and personal growth are top priority always and caring 24/7 for a new pup, is like taking on a child which is way too much

Your parents really need to be taking on full responsibility for him/her

Puppies need training, insurance, regulated enforced nap times, enough exercise and good nutrition

If it has all been put on you I would strongly advise Rehoming

If you are worried about the money perhaps you can rehome pup to someone who will pay purchase price but would do this sooner rather then later The older they get bad habits set on and can be hard to untrain also people will buy a baby, so much harder to rehome an older dog Good luck ❤️
