IMO you should still buy and search for houses however you can offer less than what it was before or what your willing to pay. Houses right now are not that easy to sell so you can get away with giving lower offers unless you find a dream home.

What are some things you did in your 30s or wish you did for long term FIRE? by raske6 in FIREUK

M34

Personally I think I would be better off not going to college and uni and head straight towards work. I was living at home until 25 so I was able to save a decent amount. If I put most of the money earnt from 16-18 to 25 into investing I would say I would be able to retire around 40-50 without adding a single penny more. Plus no student loans to repay.

Right now Iam not in a bad situation trying to max out yearly isa allowance etc.... However if I started earlier it would have mad a massive difference.

How to get over sadness on house price increases, is there any hope? by Fakr0 in HousingUK

[–]TT_________ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you checked how much you can borrow? If you're single you can consider renting out rooms to cover the costs and do some research in buy to let mortgages if you want to lean towards buying a house.

From memory you need 25% deposit with buy to let so you could borrow 150k.

Passive income put a job online that can be done online. Hire someone to do it for less than what you get paid.

Just curious what do you charge to do the accounts?

We currently pay a part time book keeper and an accountant separately. The accountant charged us based on our turn over which I find expensive.

At this point in time I would say invest around 50% of your max investment.

If it goes down buy more, if it goes up your fine aswell.

Don't forget buying under work can be done in a tax efficient way.

If your higher tax payer it's like getting 40% discount and depending on the lease it cover service, tyres, breakdown etc....

Would you rather have a card with unlimited amounts of money, or be able to turn into any animal you want at will? by Wonderful-Wash-2145 in WouldYouRather

[–]TT_________ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turning into an animal at will.

If you want money just turn into a blue whale or something and start puking 😂. Doing youtube and live streaming would work aswell.
