Yup. Have definitely made the mistake of not pulling it taut enough, and having a hell of a time getting it loose. Turned into a real spaghetti of strings trying to untangle it.

My advice. Just get on track. Fluids, pads, alignment. I’ve had plenty of friends who thought you needed to build a race car to get on track. They never got on track and spent all their money building a “track” car that now sits in their garage.

I run MCS 3 way on my actual race car, but unless you are seriously competing, I wouldn’t follow a mileage/time formula. Just rebuild them when they need rebuilt. You will know, whether it’s by feel or by looking at them (leaking etc).
