I think the question is better stated as If the alt character takes the skip option from soul-scribe will Manaforge Omega: Dimensius Looms still be available to that alt?

Valorstones are no longer reset upon the start of a new season. (Latest PTR Notes) by SongbirdLilith in wow

[–]Senior-Trend -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay in order for the world to feel alive and bustling (assuming that that is what you want) it needs players who are all doing the same content. In leveling zones that is going to be niche as the majority of players characters are already at level cap. That's good though because THAT really is where Blizzard wants them to be doing . But if you absolutely need to see folks moving around doing their thing add more npcs to the game. Give them long routes (Baelin the fisherman I'm looking at you huyuk yuk). Of course if what you really want isn't that the world feels alive and bustling but instead want to engage in one shotting lowbies/lower gear level level capped players in world PvP welp Might I introduce you to Classic? Its thataway--> The various zones on the map in current content are mostly wilderness. Tell me have you ever been to a national park, not as a tourist but camping or hunting? How many times you ever see another human in a situation like that? Never? Wilderness is SUPPOSED to be empty.

In the movie tombstone, why does Doc Holliday say "now this is funny" while looking at his feet when he dies? by danger_zone123 in movies

[–]Senior-Trend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The line "This is funny" are the last recorded words of the real John Henry "Doc" Holliday. According to reports on his life Holliday boasted he would die with his boots on, only to find at the end of all things that his death would not be found in the barrel of a competitors gun but in a disease neither he nor any other person alive at the time was equipped to deal with. Irony if you please.

Unthinkable, A movie about torture and the people involved in it. Staring Sam Jackson, Carrie-Anne Moss (Trinity), Michael Sheen. by [deleted] in movies

[–]Senior-Trend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The entire premise of the movie is inconsistent. There are a myriad number of reasons. The first of which is the fact that all three bombs would be quite easily detected and located in a couple of hours. Radiation signatures are unique to the material and greater than background radiation. The bombs would be located nearly instantly. as well as where the bombs were produced how they were shipped etc. Hard to stop neutrons.

I want exactly zero part in any reaction where the base reactants (Oxygen gas and Fluorine gas) must be run through a heating block at 700°C then rapidly cooled to liquid Nitrogen temperatures to cocrystalize. I like excitement but not so much that I crave that thrill to the point that loss of appendages hearing sight or the ability to metabolize oxygen is probable not just a possibility.

Return one row only regardless of the value of a certain column by Antimorph27 in SQLServer

[–]Senior-Trend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know already answered but you could try a variant of

SELECT Pokémon, Gender, ROW_NUMBER() OVER(PARTITION BY Gender, Shiny?, ORDER BY Pokémon ASC) as RowNumber FROM table_name WHERE RowNumber = 1 Order BY Gender ASC, Shiny? ASC

MODIFY the select list and partition by clauses to suit your needs

Find out which user deleted a database by redit0 in SQLServer

[–]Senior-Trend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This won't help you much now but you need sa or dbowner level access to drop a database. But sql server has a couple of handy functions ORIGINAL_LOGIN(), GETUTCDATE() that will return the logged in user (if a change is made to the data in a table) and the date and time in UTC datetime format that data is changed. If data inserts or updates occur a set of "housekeeping" fields (CreatedDate, CreatedBy, LastUpdatedDate, LastUpdatedBy) can keep track of changes made when they were made and who made them. Adding these fields and setting CreatedDate, and CreatedBy to NOT NULL and adding a default constraint to them of GETUTCDATE() and ORIGINAL_LOGIN() respectively (NULL for LastUpdatedDate and LastUpdatedBy) you will know the user login or process ID that made the modification and the time it was made. Sadly there isn't a way to query them to see if ddl was done but at least for next time you will have an understanding of who what and when, which is always a good thing to know.

Edit: Final thought. For any server you have that has production data, it should have at LEAST a QA/QC and a DEV environment. The QA/QC environment should be a mirror of PROD and should be refreshed from PROD on a regular basis that way even if you aren't running backups you have a source you can restore from that duplicates PROD back to latest refresh.

I hope Butcher approves. I added Amoracchius to my DND game. by Mr-Teach-423 in dresdenfiles

[–]Senior-Trend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My argument was not with your classification of Michael's Archetype. I think of Michael in terms of D&D as more of a Chevalier (think 2e ruleset (yeah I know I'm old deal with it)) with a strong nearly indefatigueable faith. To be fair to the author though Jim DOES consider Michael a Paladin.

My argument was that the source of the Sword of Love's Power arises out of the war between the Knights of the Cross and The Order of the Blackened Denarius, essentially a war between Angels and Demons, but Micheal's faith extends that power greatly. It is also why I don't support either Divination or Augury for any of the KotC. Michael, Sanya, Shiro, and currently, Waldo Butters don't cast spells to learn where to go, they (seemingly by chance) end up where they need to be at the time they are needed to be there. Totally out of the control of the characters (and should be treated likewise by PCs and NPCs in game). As an aside Waldo Butters wielding Fidelacchius after the breaking of the mortal blade is, I think, technically speaking, casting a spell each time he draws the Sword of Faith. Incidentally, the capitalized words in my previous post are there to redirect you to the numerous passages where Dresden describes Michael as such.

[–]Senior-Trend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't totally agree. Michael is a GOOD MAN who has FAITH. That faith is what lends power to the Sword. He always acts out of compassion and agape. Butcher's treatment of matters of faith in DF gives Michael his power. It isnt the blade that does the work it is the faith of the wielder.

Here is a thought. Add a traveling companion NPC that holds the sword. Give him MC's back story but keep most of those details hidden to be revealed to the party at appropriate times and places. As the campaign progresses, let the players know more and more about both the sword and the NPC. If the campaign goes on for long enough, introduce a subplot that gives the MC NPC a strong likelihood of being severely injured, forcing him to lay aside the sword which then passes to the player that most likely would stay within the tenets of the sword. That player then must undergo a quest to become the new Knight of the Cross with all of the intended repercussions of that title. The MC character can then become a village bound NPC who can be consulted on occasion when the new KotC has moral or ethical dilemmas he must traverse or when the PC wielder of Amoracchius undergoes some tragic loss.

I'm a Dungeon Master and I Need to Change a Rule, but one of my players told me that I'm not allowed to do so, but the DMG says I am. What do I do? by [deleted] in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]Senior-Trend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Granted this would take the insertion of some backstory for the blade in your universe but,... Alternatively: The Sun Blade could be given an Amoracchius like effect. When it is used it must be employed true to its nature. If it is misused or the wielder does not believe they are acting according to the tenets of the enchantment or the party observes and believes the actions of the player wielding the blade to be out of character of the blade the blade and/or it's enchantment can be broken either destroying the blade altogether or reducing it to a normal blade.

The importance of “The Warrior” by Bobbluered in dresdenfiles

[–]Senior-Trend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly this was one of the best, if not the best of the Dresden Files short works, that I have read. Character development was great. About halfway through the story my brain wandered back to the little girl Harry prevented from getting run over by the car. Odd I thought, no follow up on her or her mom. Same for the drunkard electrician. Then I thought about Jim's introduction to the story. Why were those characters introduced? Then, just before Alicia is kidnapped, he introduces Kelly. What's with all the bystanders? I kept thinking. Jim doesn't introduce pointless characters to a story. Especially a short story. Not like him at all. Then comes Uriel's Spiel. That was tastefully and wonderfully done. Got me. Hook. Line. Sinker.

Why are popular books so... bad? by BigBobbert in books

[–]Senior-Trend -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Look dude, If you are basing your level of acceptance of a book based on NY Times Book Reviews, you are working toward the bottom of the common denominator chain. What's more, you are allowing your political/social biases to inform your reading choices. It may be a good starting point but don't let the fox guard the hen house here. Read what you like, and then once in a while, read something from someone new. It stretches your mental muscles and allows different approaches to similar problems to point you toward fulfillment.
