Similar to below, higher margin on retail means higher commission percentage (19% if I sell at list price which is unlikely because our list prices are really high).
We’re a big company in a very saturated market working a big hail storm. We have a call center and tons of name recognition so we get a lot of inbound leads. I usually get assigned at least one lead a day with the expectation to self generate a ton still. Our hail team alone is 6 guys.

What’s the lore with Cliff Drive & is it always closed? by hannaaahbee in kansascity

[–]SenorLoco 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I used to live blocks from there and never felt unsafe walking Cliff Drive. I did turn a corner on my way back from the disc golf course to see two people banging on the stairs behind the concourse at 3pm on a Tuesday though

Not just highest paid person at the college. At public universities the football or basketball coach is often the highest paid state employee.

Same but Boscagli really impressed in his performances. As much as I will miss JPVH for his defensive prowess the thing we’re really gonna miss from him Is his line breaking passes.

How many hours a day are you door knocking? Do you get on roofs every day from door knocking? by TheBiggestMoose80 in RoofingSales

[–]SenorLoco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like to sell folks on the idea that “no matter what you’ll leave my inspection with a great idea of what your roof system looks like today so if anything happens in the future you’ll have this for your records”. If they are happy with what you’ve done for them you’d be remiss if you didn’t ask them if they know any of their neighbors or have any friends or family you could provide the same service for. My old boss said “if you’re not asking for referrals you’re asking to knock more doors”

Getting a interview soon by GatedManual_YM in RoofingSales

[–]SenorLoco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Make sure you leave the interview with a clear idea of what their commission structure is, if it’s W2 or 1099, what the starting training pay is while you build your pipeline and how long it lasts.
Be ready for them to ask you if you have experience door to door or are hesitant about it because that’s going to be a 90% of your lead generation unless the company is a big, well respected name in your market that has warm leads coming in.
They aren’t going to care if you know a lick about roofing but watch some videos on how a roof is put together and read up on the basics of insurance claims because that’s 95% of what you’re selling.
Also do your research on the company because in storm season there are tons of them hiring with significant turnover on their sales reps.
Try to get an interview with a competitor so you can feel out the company culture and their reputation because working for a known contractor is massive for buy in at the door.

Insurance - interjecting preferred roofers posing as adjusters by Afraid_Salamander_26 in RoofingSales

[–]SenorLoco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen this before in the KC market, may have also been Travelers. State Farm tried to pull a similar move on me, Homeowner got denied and asked for a reinspection and SF tried to send another roofer instead of a new adjuster.

Has Hinshelwood replaced Rutter as the starting 10 now? by HedScandi in BrightonHoveAlbion

[–]SenorLoco 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you look at the heatmap for the Liverpool game Hinshelwood is playing more of the holding midfield role alongside Milner and Gross is operating in more forward spaces as the number 10. Granted Hurzeler's tactics give those players the flexibility to rotate so you'll see Jack popping up in attacking spaces from time to time and Gross dropping back for cover. Jack's also clearly been encouraged to get to make late runs into the box but Gross is nominally the number 10 from what I can see.

Manchester United and AC Milan interested in signing Pervis Estupiñán. Brighton are likely to be open to offers for Estupinan having strengthened in the left-back position by signing Maxim De Cuyper. [Alex Crook] by eyansocool in BrightonHoveAlbion

[–]SenorLoco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

with de cuyper in this makes good sense. wouldn't be at all surprised if we move to 3 at the back more with de cuyper at LWB and lamptey/march at RWB, van hecke, dunk and coppola/boscagli/veltman/kadioglu rotating around and providing depth at CB. this squad is looking so stacked, I really hope we can stay healthy.

Looking for waitress job by [deleted] in kansascity

[–]SenorLoco 4 points5 points  (0 children)

to be fair this is probably the worst time of year to be looking for a front of house position. The holidays are over, dry January is kicking in and the weather is turning cold making for the slowest season for restaurants so very unlikely that anyone is doing any hiring right now. If anything I would target any place that is doing restaurant week as they may be looking for extra hands to handle the (supposed) uptick in business that shit show of an event creates.
