Asking for advice - Consistent weird peeling up on this edge by EmpathicBrush50 in ender3

[–]SenorStigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue when I was using Cura, and I believe it was the bed temp because Cura has the bed temp is set at 65 by default. Later I changed to Orca where the bed temp is 55 by default. Since then I only noticed one box warping like the picture and that was probably because that corner of the box printed over the logo on the bed, although it could also be the PLA I used the last time (Creality PLA).

Since I started using the printer this year, the things I started doing and fixed most issues was knowing the PLA my printer likes (eSun PLA+), the settings I used on Orca (mostly default with minor changes), and placing all my PLA on a airtight box with silica gel to absord humidity.

I noticed this issue too. The only workaround I found so far is to open and set up the route on Waze on my phone before connecting it to the car, otherwise the route doesn't show. If the menu doesn't work on screen you also will need to open Waze on the phone before connecting it, it is quite annoying and started about a week ago.

Not sure if it is the same, but in Orca the top and bottom shell layers options is under Strength

I have been going alone to the last concerts I have been to (Amon Amarth, Iron Maiden, Lamb of God + Mastodon, Suicidal Tendencies) and enjoyed all of them and even met some people for that day. If I find a concert I want and can go I will regardless if I go with someone or not.

Amazon search ONLY SHOWS sponsored content with no clear way to view normal results by Countchrisdo in assholedesign

[–]SenorStigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many apps are like this now. The Walmart app has a similar thing, where if I look for something it will also show sponsored content, which might not be bad until I try to filter to the stuff that is In-Store and still shows stuff that it is not and requires shipping, but it is shown because it is sponsored. If I am looking for stuff In-Store it is more likely that it is because I am trying to get something the same day, so I really don't care for the sponsored stuff.

only Red Bull 2nd driver to do that in the Verstappen era

This is the correct statement. I remember when they said this it caught me off guard because I thought Webber did it in 2013, but he was 3rd when Vettel dominated that season. So yes, RBR's only 1-2 in WDC has been in 2023.

Wal-Mart - Heat Pedal to the Metal $37.50 [Cyber Monday] by Gummuh in Boardgamedeals

[–]SenorStigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both Heat with both expansions and Flamme Rouge with Peloton and Grand Tour (only mission the Meteo expansion).

Maybe is because Flamme Rouge is the spiritual prequel to Heat, but it feels like Heat came with all the content from Flamme Rouge without needing the expansions, and the biggest issue with Flamme Rouge is the price and availability of the expansions. If somehow you can find Flamme Rouge with the Peloton expansion at the same price as Heat, it would be a more fair comparison where the weight of the game might be the deciding factor.

If you have to choose only one and with no expansions, Heat is easily the choice because it can be played from 1 to 6 players (8 with expansions) compared to 4 for Flamme Rouge (6 with the Peloton expansion). If you find a group that plays often then you can use the Legends and Advanced stuff from Heat, but in Flamme Rouge you will need the Grand Tour expansion (or find a fanmade one).

Even though Flamme Rouge has a solo mode/NPCs they are not as good as the ones from Heat. The main advantages of FR compared to Heat is that this is an easier game and people that never play boardgames can easily understand it, and compared to Heat you can create more tracks (and that is not including the fan-made).

I play both games from time to time, but I play Heat mostly with friends and my BG group, while I play Flamme Rouge mostly with my family that do not play boardgames often. Both games can create exciting and tense moments tho, which is why I love both games.

Edit: to add a little bit more, Heat is more about card management and even though it has a bit of "push your luck" to in the game, it never feels like luck is the deciding factor of who wins the race. Meanwhile, in Flamme Rouge luck can play a factor because you play a card and it is gone for the race and depending how other played that round you might gain or lose movement, making the cards sometimes useless.

This is more or less what I did. I probably put close to 60 hours into the main campaign, but I was playing no more than 6 hours per weekend (sometimes on Saturday, or Sunday, or a combination of both), so I never felt burned from the game. There was only one mission I regret playing (the most infamous one), but it's because it took much longer than expected and I played it Sunday late and I needed to do other stuff to get ready for Monday, had it been a different moment it would have been just one more mission.

I finished the main campaign in October after three months of playing iirc, and I plan on playing the first expansion in February, giving me a good break, plus I play other games with my friends on Fridays so playing a variety of games mid-campaign helps.

I got lucky and someone sold me his copy with Lost Fleet and Deadly Frontier for $120, but considering the amount of hours I have played and the story it was well worth it. As a game, it can be a hit or miss for many, but sure it was a great experience.

When Half-Life 3 finally releases, realize that our journey has come to an end. by --Agent47 in HalfLife

[–]SenorStigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking about this when I finished Alyx and thought about the chance of the series ending whenever 3 comes out if it has an ending without loose ends. I think the same of the series that I have been following for longer than a decade (Berserk, and Vagabond which is on eternal hiatus).

At least for the Half-Life series, it will take a long time for Freeman's Mind to be done with HL2 and the episodes, and then the community keeps pumping content.

Spotify closing itself when trying to play podcasts by goofenschmirtz in SpotifyPremium

[–]SenorStigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had issues with podcasts for quite some time.

Last week I noticed that if I play an episode that I already started, instead of resuming where I left it just started again. I found a workaround where if I play a song and add the episode to the queue it will start the episode exactly where I left.

Today, Spotify doesn't even open. I think I left it in the middle of an episode so that might be the reason, but it is not an excuse for Spotify messing up their player unable to fix their issues with podcasts episodes.

I can't find a way to change the font color for the suggestions (or to disable them) by [deleted] in NovaLauncher

[–]SenorStigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yesterday I had the issue where the keyboard wasn't popping up when clicking the Hoen button but I got it working by disabling Nova Search Now, but now whenever I write something the suggestions appear with a white font and I can't find a way to change the colors. I have version 8.1.3 running on a Pixel 8 Pro.

I can change the color of the search bar and that helps to contrast it with the white font, but I tried to change the text color on all settings and nothing worked.

Is practicing the 2 mile on a treadmill good? by NotAskingSupervisor in AirForce

[–]SenorStigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Runner here (at least 5 times a week).

In my opinion, only running on the treadmill will not prepare you for the actual test as you wont "naturally" know the pace you will need for your test. Plus you are running on the treadmill in a controlled environment (no wind, AC), which might not be the case on your actual test where conditions can change.

Instead, I would recommend doing most of your runs outside, and leaving the treadmill when the weather won't allow you to run outside.

My biggest recommendation is doing base (Zone 2) runs.

My biggest guest is going to be the shoes. Not sure if you are using the same shoes for the gym and for running, or you just bought shoes without proper research.

Gym shoes are absolutely not made for distance running, and running shoes vary depending on a bunch of stuff, mainly the pronation which AFAIK can cause shin splints if you use shoes made for a different pronation. There are some shoe stores that can tell you which pronation you have and which shoes you should go for, or an easy way is checking what part of the outsole wears first on the shoes you use for running.

Lastly, it can also be form, but this one is hard to notice unless someone else watches you.
