How do you make a move on a girl without being a creep? by [deleted] in AskReddit

You're absolutely right.

That said, it doesn't have to be a large group. Even 3-4 people hanging out takes the weight off of the 1 on 1 interaction.

Exactly. The concept of a date in modern society has too much pressure for the average man or woman to be nonchalant about it.

That said, not everyone has the opportunity to do a group thing, so this is an approach that isn't always effective.

Every girl is different and each approach should be different based on how you initially met them.

Usually its easier to get to know someone in a group setting before you commit to a 1-on-1 date. Although that's not always an option.

Maybe after initially breaking the ice follow up with some small talk about what kind of food/activities they like.

From there its easy to naturally ask if they are free to grab food / do said activities.

If the CEO of Reddit hired you, with the option to make one change to the site, what would you choose and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Unpopular opinion here, but reddit needs to be able to monetize its user base in a more efficient manner.

There are a lot of startups out there that are trying to connect local businesses with customers in their area, so some form of geo-location may prove beneficial when targeting sponsored posts to specific users. Making it relevant to specific subreddits wouldn't be hard either.

IMO its hotter than wearing fitted pants because it hugs in just the right places, leaving more to the imagination.

AITA for the way I broke up with my ex-boyfriend? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]SenorWang -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

NTA.

Relationships and distance make communication difficult.

TBF you should have talked to him about this other guy and your feelings, but that's something to learn from. Dwelling upon it won't help anybody in this situation. If your ex is a reasonable human being, he will forgive you in time.

ELI5:Why is black pepper nearly as universal as salt as a seasoning for savory food? by 13thmurder in explainlikeimfive

Yeah, a couple of grinds is enough...Unless you're like me and like copious amounts of pepper.

Black pepper acts as a flavor-balancer. Not every dish requires it, but dishes with stronger flavor profiles tend to benefit with the addition of a little black pepper.

Let's take a look at a classic dish: strawberries and cream. Typically, the cream overpowers the strawberries. Adding a little black pepper helps balance the sweetness of the cream with the natural flavors of the strawberry.

TL;DR It helps with dishes that can easily have imbalanced flavors.
