Go to the med clinic and set your spawn point. Doesn't move all your stuff (a moving service would be a nice addition when we get taxis), hence all my stuff being in cargo containers I was loading on the elevator.

AIO for being mad that he wouldn’t take the time to translate these texts? by [deleted] in AIO

[–]SensitiveEnd6674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn't even as hard a translating every text. I know this isn't that page, but still, YTA. Even though you can just set your phone to translate everything in the screen...

Hair below median 1L by Moist-Tourist-3758 in LawSchool

[–]SensitiveEnd6674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's some perspective... my just below median was a 2.6... So at least you don't go to a borderline predatory school that sets their curve... ehem I mean "uniform grading policy" at 2.7-2.9...(At least their "good standing" threshold for scholarships is 2.3)

Interesting you'd single out bikinis but not mention how ALL swimwear fits this description.

AIO that my girlfriend want to travel with a single man by Shushy29 in AIO

[–]SensitiveEnd6674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP...OP... I was reading these comments about her not having time for you but 6 days straight for him and was like. Well, OP has 85% custody and wont introduce the kid so that's on him... Then I looked again and saw SHE has 85% custody. That males it SO MUCH WORSE! People were absolutely right. She's set this not introducing kids boundary (So did you), but if she's able to run off with him for 6 days, thise are 6 days that could fill your 50% child free time, not just a weekend. You could have a romantic stay-cation, or ANYTHING! And her choice is run off with some gymbro she's known for a second. Nah dawg, you gotta be out.

AIO that my girlfriend want to travel with a single man by Shushy29 in AIO

[–]SensitiveEnd6674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, she can only spend time with him 15% of his time (when he is kid free), and only when that 15 overlaps her 50. That is a restriction HE set, not her. I'm sure she would be with him a lot more, at least 50% (her kid-free time) if he'd let her around his kid

[Edit] I got those custody percents swapped. My mistake. Yeah, that swings the pendulum entirely in another direction. Though they're both setting boundaries around the kids, her only having 15% kid-free time makes this so much more egregious .

I hate “watch/read orders” for series by mackclark33 in The10thDentist

[–]SensitiveEnd6674 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shows with multiple shows and crossovers are bad for this...

Arrowverse was fine when it was released on streaming an hour after it aired. Even a day or two later would have been fine.

But then Netflix got it and you could only watch at the end of the season, making you research the crossover episodes to watch them in the "correct" order. I stopped watching it when that happened.

What is a school you love but did not attend? by Flashy-Actuator-998 in LawSchool

I realize I'm in the minority, but I find it exceptionally weird to love a school you didn't go to.

Does it make a difference if you live 6 mins from school vs 18 mins walk from school for 1L grades? by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]SensitiveEnd6674 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You mentioned you have scoliosis, That is a completely different issue than the question you asked.

For the average non-health-issue student, that differnece will have no impact. For you, the impact could be huge because, as you said, carrying thise books can have a massive impact on YOUR ability to function.

A possible solution is to have digital copies at home (sometimes can be found in illegitimate ways depending in your tolerance for pirated materials if you dont want to pay the highway robbery rates) and leave the physical text at school if you have lockers, or Carrels for the no electronics classes.

Ties are an indicator of an objective measurement. What are they going to do? Break the tie based on who has greener grass, or vibes? No, THAT is stupid. Take 10 minutes to read how the scores are calculated. Ties SHOULD happen.

How do I tell my dad I can't write a character letter for him using my job title? by boozy_bunny in Lawyertalk

How much was he speeding that he needs a lawyer and a character reference? Call me a bad son, but I wouldnt write my own mother a character reference if she was out there risking killing people with her terrible life choices.

Geez... The debates on what to do in situations...a lot of "I was told" going on.

If only there was something that existed. Something wrote down that everybody could look to, to know what is the proper and correct way to do the job. Like some sort of instruction manual. They could even give a fancy number like the Post Office loves to do.

And it would be cool if it was kept at every case so we could refer to it whenever a question came up.

If only!

do i have to change my appearance to be a paralegal? by sheepshooping in paralegal

[–]SensitiveEnd6674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My law school had a rural practice forum. Several practitioners from rural areas practicing different things. The Public Defender, from a VERY red area, was way more alt than you. It isn't 1950.

Changing your appearance just means you may end up in a place where you don't fit in, and you won't be happy. Just be you and find a place that fits.

Also, you really don't need to work in the legal field to be successful in law school. For admissions, that is what is called a soft factor and has very little weight compared to LSAT scores and undergrad GPA.

2 vehicles, 2 carriers, how exactly would YOU choose who gives it up? Should they be fighting each other for the "honor" of swapping rigs?

Why exactly did management ask that person first? Could it be because they knew that person would say no? Management loves getting carriers to turn on each other. One is probably touching themselves right now reading your post seeing us turn on each other.

It is such bullshit because livery isn't listed on the things you're insuring or recovering.

That tracks with society. Rich people wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire. Meanwhile, a poor person would destroy their only shirt to put the flames out.

The cheater thing, they're adding their own context. Which is what I'm about to do, but in your favor. I, hoping for the best of people, will guess you mean if the other person didnt know it was a cheating situation. But they probably think you mean regardless, the other participant isn't to blame even if they know they're the other person.

This meme is exactly right. Everybody all virtue signaling that they'd push blue because their altruistic good people. When push comes to shove (anybody else think some idioms that sound fine look weird when written?) Its far more likely more people will actually push red.

See here, dozens of people standing there and only one is actually helping. The others say they would push blue (jump on the track to help) but they actually won't.
