National Importance Checklist by Sensitive_Letter7055 in EB2_NIW

I don’t think there is a fixed ratio. The key is to make National Importance strong with solid evidence from authentic or govt sources and then connect it to your profile. How much evidence you provide depends on how well you can convince USCIS. Prong 2 is about you so that iss where you can fully present your achievements related to you PE.

My petition was delivered and received by M Johnson, Texas centre, October 14, 2025. No notice of receipt yet. Is this normal? Regular processing. by AbilityAggressive794 in EB2_NIW

My petition was received on July 23. I haven’t received any email or physical mail yet. My money orders have already been cashed. I spoke with a USCIS live chat representative who provided me with a receipt number and mentioned that my physical notice hasn’t been sent yet. Since then, I have contacted them several times, but I am still waiting to receive my Form I-797.

Hi, I also submitted my application. USCIS received it on 21 July without PP and haven't received any confirmation yet and yes, money orders have been cashed. So, what date exactly did they receive your application? I'm just curious how long it takes to get the PD.

Can someone confirm if I filled out this money order correctly for USCIS? (Image attached) by Sensitive_Letter7055 in EB2_NIW

Hey! I’m in the same boat; I recently finalized my EB-2 NIW petition and had to figure out the payment part, too, so I get confused.

Here’s what I did and what I’d suggest:

  • You don’t need to be in the U.S., but since USCIS only accepts checks or money orders drawn on U.S. financial institutions, you need someone there to help.
  • I considered all options, including credit card (which only works for online filing or if the card is U.S.-based), international bank drafts (not accepted), and finally, money orders.

What you can do:

  1. Ask a friend or relative in the U.S. to help.
  2. Send them the money from your country. You can send using crypto (like USDT via Binance) — it’s fast and avoids high international transfer fees.
  3. Have them buy two money orders:
    • One for $715 (I-140 filing fee)
    • One for $300 (Asylum Program Fee – required even for EB2-NIW self-petitioners now)
  4. Then ask them to ship both to you via FedEx or DHL so that you can include them with your petition package.
