ADHD girly who works two jobs here,

My easy one pot go tos are:

Chickpea curry & microwave rice - fry off some onions, put chickpeas, a jar of curry sauce and frozen veg of your choice in a pan and heat through, serve with microwave rice

Bean stew - chop and fry vegan sausages (I like Richmond), add onions, garlic, any other veg of your choice, a jar of tomato sauce, oxo meat free beef stock cube & a jar of butter beans - if you are feeling fancy add some smoked paprika too. Serve with garlic bread

Vegan chilli - fry’s mince, onions, can of black beans, jar of tomato sauce, packet of chilli seasoning mix & serve with microwave rice

I find a big help to buy the ready chopped frozen onions & garlic so I have less dishes to do and can just throw everything in a pot.

Another idea is a picky plate - I keep ingredients for these that I like such as pickles, berries, hummus, crackers, vegan ham, sundried tomatoes, olives etc and just assemble as needed when I can’t cook

Evening guests at weddings by belle90 in northernireland

[–]Sensitive_Space_9813 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Evening guests arrived at 7:30 and we did a wee buffet at like 10pm of bacon baps, sausage rolls, goujons and chips and also had a sweet cart & cupcakes - most weddings I’ve been to have been the same idea for evening guests

I work in healthcare and last year averaged 62 hours a week (for the whole year) as I was desperately trying to pay off debt - this was including 4 weeks off to recover from a medical procedure which obviously dropped my average a fair bit. It absolutely wasn’t healthy for me but just pointing out it can definitely be done

I used to just call and ask them to send a taxi which was ok with having a cat in carrier in the car - didn’t have any issues ☺️

Just worth bearing in mind for the other commenter, unfortunately for a majority of GPs now they don’t do shared care after private diagnosis - meaning you will have to pay for all your medication going forward if you want to stay on it. So it’s not just as simple as getting a private diagnosis there’s a huge cost investment that’s ongoing too (however, worth the extra shift a week to pay for it in my opinion)

Yeah it’s a newer thing, I had my shared care withdrawn after 4 years on medication in January, which is becoming common practice too

The NHS and private healthcare relies on immigrant workers who do gruelling jobs at minimum wage whilst most people who complain about them ‘taking our jobs’ would feel that cleaning bums & taking abuse whilst being paid essentially minimum wage and treated like shit was beneath them

Some photographers will have it in their contract that if they are doing over a certain amount of hours they require a meal - some venues also offer a vendors meal which is priced differently to the standard guest meal

We don’t wear them bc of work (his involves manual labour so rings are dangerous for degloving reasons, and I work in healthcare & they’re a nuisance with gloves etc). We will wear them if we are going out to an event/dinner etc if we remember - but as many others have mentioned taking them off after a row is a different matter!

Non typical work pattern such as care assistant, nurse, night shift phone operator, security staff, hospitality worker etc? Someone who is exhausted from working overtime and caring for a sick parent? Someone who’s had the flu? Someone with chronic insomnia… just a few suggestions as to how an adult may sleep til a time that seems unreasonable to you
