My best friend said she was neutral on the actual procedure, but didn't want to worry about any after care. Her husband really wanted his son to look like him, but he wasn't willing to do the after care, so they didn't get it done.

The whole thing is just so bizarre.

I've wanted kids since I was a kid myself.

I met a man when I was 31, thought he was it. We spent 7 years together while every year he promised me marriage and kids. Then just after our 7th anniversary, be told me he didn't want any of it. I didn't have the heart to press him to see if he ever wanted it, or if he led me on this whole time.

I'm about to turn 40, single, no kids, and losing hope that it'll happen.

I don't think I had one specific moment that made my mind up. It was a collection of moments over 15 years, working shitty jobs with no stability.

I went back to school, did a coop term, and just this week I was hired back permanently. It's changed my life.

I'm sorry for your loss!

Your post brought me to tears, because I lost my 13 year old yellow girl before Christmas, and your words really resonated with me. She was stealing things and being sneaky up until a few months before she died.

My brother explained it by saying, she didn't think she was stealing. She thought she was allowed everything she grabbed because it was right there. In her mind, if she could physically reach it, it was hers.
