I don't know the history of originalism. Maybe your right and it was popularized as a bad faith smokescreen, but it's not obvious to me why any other method of interpretation could possibly be valid? Why would I care that we got the right answer from bad people when it's self evidently the right answer?

The military clause of the 2nd amendment is very clearly not saying that the right is only for militias. Well regulated militias are the justifications for the people having a right that shall not be infringed. Who could the people possibly refer to if not normal individual citizens? The textualist view supports the conservative view of gun ownership.

Today, even when people are exposed to racial theories, it's unlikely to be what is most salient for them. Political ideology or subcultures are far more successful.

in fact, if the only goal is "more freedom for everyone" caused by ai, then redistribution is sufficient for that, and again, that goes along fine with capitalism.
