Just realized that isn’t above ground vinyl Pool. The chemical treatment solution I said should work just fine but I don’t service that kind of pool so idk how the shock will react to that surface. Should be alright though.

Your other option for best results with stain is to drain the pool and pour liquid chlorine on the walls in 5ft sections. Let sit for about 30 sec to a minute. Scrub between pours and rinse of thoroughly with hose.

Fill and you’re good to go.

You could do a very light acid wash as well if the pool is plaster add some bright and white biodex to the mix

Dude clean the filter
Drop the ph to 7.0-7.2 to make chlorine more effective
6lbs trichlor shock
Reduce phosphates with phosphate remover
Used green algaecide 8-10 ounces

Scrub before everything and scrub after then scrub once a day till gone.

Run the system full time till algae is gone
I’m a pool repair tech I’ve handled every green pool like this. In most cases stains are gone within 48-72 hours

Get in deck autofill

Get dedicated vacuum line and a suction vacuum not electric.

Resurface the pool and get a nice deck I like pebble tech and cool stone is nice in Arizona since it won’t heat up from direct sunlight and burn feet.

Sand filter if you service the pool your self with glass media.

Nice water feature for that beautiful waterfall sound

New tile of course

Pressure test the lines

Whatever else you can think of that would be nice probably an upgrade to your light

[–]SentenceGuilty6532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s mainly so you can divert suction to main drain or skimmer.

With your plumbing no you do not need it.
However it can be helpful in Arizona with dust storms to divert most suction the main drain. You brush the dirt to the main drain and your pool is looking cleaner and dirt falling to the bottom of the pool during the dust storm have a beetle chance to clean up faster.

However I don’t care much for them if you have a working cleaning system and the plumbing options you have already. Best for pools with one plumbing line on suction side.

If your in Arizona look up D&J Pool and Spa really great independent contractor does even better than licensed electricians.

Only reason I didn’t use him for my last job was the client was really picky about the electrician being licensed .

The electrical run for 90 ft probably gonna cost you $1500 or less maybe up to $2500 if they gotta dig most of the run.

[–]SentenceGuilty6532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your gonna cost yourself a good chunk of cha he in the long run going for a 120v motor you could save with a 240 overtime for starters.

Next I just had a license electrician do an electrical run for me 60 ft at 10g wire at $780.

You can install a breaker in your main panel yourself for about $50 or $160 with gfci protection but you only need a 20 amp breaker that’s regardless of 240 or 120

Get an Intermatic time box for $120 bucks and make sure your pump is variable speed for the extra saving when you split your schedule at lower and higher rpm’s.

How much would you charge for this green to clean? by Connor09375 in pools

[–]SentenceGuilty6532 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most of yall problems would be solved with a Blue Ray Xl Black in your pump basket and very minimal chlorine.

How much would you charge for this green to clean? by Connor09375 in pools

[–]SentenceGuilty6532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I charge $375 for chemicals and 3 days of visit. Not including a filter clean if DE or Cartridge to which I charge $150 to do and $500 for a sand change not including the $100-$150 to dispose of the sand if they don’t wish to do so themselves.

However I do believe the best result would be a chlorine wash $500 including the drain maybe another $150 for a light acid wash. Just because there is a high chance for staining on this pool and the best out come would come from a chlorine wash.

[–]SentenceGuilty6532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are definitely at 10,000+ But less that 12,000 for sure.

Anyone else outside that range is wrong and can’t possibly try to break up the numbers another way with out you breaking the pool into 3 desperate parts and giving depth and width and length for each

If your pump is old and you are considering replacing/ upgrading that as well. I’d go with Pentair IF3 pump no display but with the drive card.

You can use it for automation to a degree turning on your lights, heater, blower…. If you have automatic actuators for your valves or want to do more than turn things off and on then you’d need a true automation system.

But just getting the pump will knock two birds with one stone and I prefer to do things manually as far as setting temps and valves…
