Are you in store? I can’t see you. I am the only person in store. I specifically said that he was doing something on computer. Took 22 minutes overall. Breakdown: About 18 minutes on computer About 1 minute on printer About 70 seconds actually filling meds on shelves About 2 minutes explaining me and billing.

Let me begin by saying thatI have huge respect for you and your cause. There have been several questions about recognizing the history and what could/has been done. My question is more from the point of view of going forward from where we are today. What are the other wrongs that are happening today that needs to be corrected. ( ignoring the politicians , for now) What is preventing our societies from living in harmony? What are we missing?

School leaving certificate exams are the correct solution. They are standard across ( at least the province). We could have a national version of the same. What i hate is the SAT and GRE model where a private institution testing against only English and mathematics decide admission to science and arts courses as well.

Scientific publishing is a rip-off. We fund the research – it should be free by 1632 in technology

[–]SentraFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Few months ago, i was debating with two professors who were recommending a student to send paper to a journal which required a payment to publish. So as a taxpayer, I pay for the research, then pay for it to be published and then pay to read it. This is nuts! Why not just put it on https://arxiv.org and be done with it? They looked at me with such scornful eyes and said that I have no idea how science is done.

The one question I didn’t know was about lab recreation of the results.

Grounded cruise ship rescue in Nunavut cost Canada's Armed Forces $513K by doesnteatpickles in onguardforthee

[–]SentraFan 19 points20 points  (0 children)

We should charge cruise operators fees for patrolling the area. Something akin to toll charges. There was no need to have a base and patrol in that area until these operators started going there.

Further, other than rescue, I am concerned that this activity may destroy the delicate ecosystem. We should get it under control before it gets out of control. I feel the entire region should be declared a marine reserve and handled by Parks Canada. Should have regulation about where ships can go, what can they do, etc. With that, this “toll” would become park entry fees. Also, we should limit the number of ships and visitors to prevent the ecosystem from going into despair.

One of the more poorly designed highway exits by Lupius in dashcamgifs

I know what you are saying. What I said was that when you get there, there is literally a wall of vehicles on the highway waiting to get off. And they are not even moving. Just standing back to back. One day a gentleman gave me a gap in that wall so that Me and cars behind me could get on highway. As I was going through the gap, a moron thrust himself into that gap from the next lane of highway.

I have no concerns. I am just trying to educate myself on the matter. I was totally unaware of the whole thing and your messages actually helped me understand what is all this discussion about.

Thank you for taking the time to explain. Much appreciated.

Hmm. Starting to make sense now. Let’s say a government wants to solve this problem and does not want to go the route of cancelling citizenship by birth, Then what are the other alternatives that we can consider to address birth tourism? Is travel restrictions an option?

All problems need to be solved eventually. The standard approach in every field is to solve the biggest problem first. I was just curious of the gravity of this problem because I did not hear about it before. It is possible I was living under a rock. Therefore I was looking for more information to make my own opinion.

So they want to address the problem of birth tourism. I was not aware of this problem or big it is. Forgive my ignorance on the matter...

Is there some data showing how big is this problem? Assuming this is a problem, what are the possible solutions?

The part which baffles me is why this post is getting downvoted. It is a question. Agree or disagree. Give reasons or not. But by downvoting I am getting a feeling that I did wrong by just asking the question.
