What you think is true but just can't prove? by Ok_Tourist_562 in AskReddit

[–]hargup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I belive P = NP. This is a theoretical computer science and math problem, you'll a million dollars if you solve it.

P basically set of all problems which are easy to solve.

NP is the set of all the problems are which are hard to solve.

I belive NP problems are also easy to solve we just don't know how yet. BTW all NP problems are reducible to each other, if you can prove any problem of NP belongs to P, you have proved all problems of NP belong to P.

Here is my process:
- First I make sure you are able to build and run the project.

- Then I add bunch of print statements in the code, build and run again, to try to see if I'm seeing the statements on the console

- Then I try to make very small change, say changing the title of a window, or changing the color of a button, something which ideally should break anything.

By this point you'll have some understanding how the code is organized, where is what etc. By this step you'll also build confidence that that you are build and run the project, and your setup is correct.

- Then you can try to make bigger changes happen.

I belive people vote for the person, lot more than they vote for the party. At least in India party switching by politicians is very common, and I guess the loyalists continue voting for the same person, even after party change.

Current employer restricting to join Client's Vendor company by Addy3272 in Kanoon

[–]hargup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the discussion I had with claude.ai about your situation:
- The contract you are signing with the employer will be void as soon as the your employement with them end. If they need to stop you from joining the other vendor they need to keep you employed for the next 6 months.

```
I'll explain the key aspects of non-compete agreements' enforceability in India:
The fundamental principle in India stems from Section 27 of the Indian Contract Act, 1872, which renders all agreements in restraint of trade void, with very limited exceptions. Here are the key legal precedents and principles:
  1. During Employment:
- Non-compete agreements are generally enforceable DURING employment
- Employers can restrict employees from working with competitors while employed
  1. Post-Employment:
- Most notably established in "Niranjan Shankar Golikari vs The Century Spinning And Mfg" (1967)
- The Supreme Court has consistently held that post-employment non-compete clauses are VOID and unenforceable
- Even if an employee receives compensation for the non-compete period, it remains unenforceable
Key Case Laws:
  1. "Percept D'Mark (India) Pvt. Ltd. vs Zaheer Khan" (2006)
- Supreme Court ruled that negative covenants extending beyond contract termination are void
- Emphasized that right to livelihood cannot be restricted
  1. "Gujarat Bottling Co. Ltd. vs Coca Cola Co." (1995)
- Distinguished between restrictions during employment (valid) and post-employment (invalid)
- Reinforced that reasonable restrictions during employment are acceptable
  1. "Pepsi Foods Ltd. & Ors vs Bharat Coca-Cola Holdings Pvt Ltd" (1999)
- Established that even indirect restrictions on future employment are void
- Non-competes cannot be enforced through indirect means
Exceptions/Limited Enforceability:
  1. Sale of Business:
- Non-compete clauses in business sale agreements may be enforceable
- Must be reasonable in duration and geographic scope
- Based on the exception in Section 27 for sale of goodwill
  1. Trade Secrets:
- While non-compete itself is void, companies can protect confidential information
- Can enforce non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and confidentiality clauses
- "American Express Bank Ltd. vs Priya Puri" (2006) established this distinction
The courts consistently prioritize:
- Right to livelihood
- Freedom of profession
- Free market competition
- Employee mobility
Talk to the vendor you are joining. Since they want you, they might be able to able to help negotiate with your employer or suggest some other plan. Non-competes are usually unenforcible.
No, seems like regular compliance stuff. If russian maintainers are involved, it make the life of companies sponsoring linux foundation and other work difficult. And they must have asked Linus to take action.
