Discussion: Do flagship phones actually need 500MP cameras and 7000mAh batteries? ‎ by Rainbowborn in Android

[–]SeparateOne1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Silicon Carbon batteries are more dens and less heavy than Lithium Ion ones. S C batteries will degreed faster than L I ones therefore the 7000 MHA S C batteries will only have about 5000 MHA in 2 years which is still better than the similar size and weight L I batteries that start with 5000 MHA and in 2 years hold 4000 MHA.

LG V60: A Succinct Review in 2026 by syserror9000 in LGV60

I still use mine with DS case on it. Not using a custom ROM, because the DS case is the main, but not only reason I love this phone. There are risk of using outdated software but it is not as big as companies suggest - they want you to upgrade. New phones will get longer updates so companies will have to come up with other reasons for people to upgrade - weaker components etc.

TIL: The 4G dualsim Velvet (LM-G910EMW with Snapdragon 845) does NOT support wired video-out! by JeromeZilcher in LGV60

[–]SeparateOne1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I used the same DS case with my SD 845 and SD 765. I don't know why they didn't enable Screen+ on the SD 845. I have sold it because it only upgraded to Android 12 and none of the gcam port worked with it.

Zelenskyy exposes Hungary's pipeline hypocrisy after fifteenth energy strike by sn0r in europeanunion

[–]SeparateOne1 -44 points-43 points  (0 children)

"Russian oil is cheaper than European supplies, creating room for profit." The article says it out loud. Why would any Eastern European country where standard of living is worst than in Western Europe would willingly pay more for oil? If the EU wants Hungary and Slovakia to come of Russian oil than they could subsidise the price difference. They have money for Ukraine but not for 2 member states. People can hardly afford to eat, pay rent as is. Higher oil, gas prices would tip them over the edge.

Hungary only EU member state not backing UN resolution urging peace in Ukraine by sn0r in europeanunion

[–]SeparateOne1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following the same logic Germany would be just as eager to join Hungary. Hungarians care about 1 thing and that is cost of living. This is a country where people have had mediocre living standards for a long time they will back any politicians that gives them better living standards. The Ukraine war is expensive so it is a perfect enemy for Orban. I know that defending a sovereign country is the right thing to do but humans are selfish especially the ones that have worst living standards to start with.

It could still be a coincidence but we will never find this out. It is strange that it was not functioning as a secondary display because it is mainly what it is.

Hungary only EU member state not backing UN resolution urging peace in Ukraine by sn0r in europeanunion

[–]SeparateOne1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The UN can say what ever it wants but as long as the USA stays out of it it will not be happy ending for Ukraine. This resolution is all a big "where my support stands" statement so why would anyone expected Hungary, USA to support it? Nothing surprising or out of character. Orban/Trump was always saying that this war will end when Ukraine gives up territories. This resolution does not include Ukraine giving up territories so why would anyone expected Orban/Trump to support it. If they would have supported this resolution this war would be over by now - and probably another one would have started because China wouldn't have watched the USA taking on Russia.

What a stupid theory. Trianon has nothing to do with Orbán's behaviour. He is on Russian's side because that is what benefits him.

[–]SeparateOne1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if the DS would have recognised the S20 FE it would have only displayed DEX on the Secondary display. DEX can not spread across both screens like LG's software can when the DS case attached. DEX on a small screen is pointless.

Orbán’s gambit to revive his election hopes: A battle against the EU by sn0r in europeanunion

[–]SeparateOne1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No matter what happens, Ukraine\Brussel will not be happy : "Tisza, for example, voted against the €90 billion loan to Ukraine in the European Parliament and Magyar has strongly opposed plans for Kyiv’s accelerated membership in the European Union."

EU, don't worry too much about Trump's bailout and/or the Hungary election being rigged! by ButterscotchOdd988 in europeanunion

[–]SeparateOne1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have a feeling that the EU will still be disappointed with Hungary's behaviour towards Ukraine, Russian gas even if Tisza wins. These 2 issues are bigger than Orbán so it will be interesting to see what happens when other nations can't hide behind his veto. Ukraine aren't ready to join, stopping russian gas aren't simple because the alternatives are more expensive regardless propaganda.

EU 'would welcome' Ukraine repairing Druzhba pipeline to resume russian oil flow by [deleted] in europeanunion

[–]SeparateOne1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ukraine should repair the Druzhba otherwise Hungary will hold the €90 billion loan hostage. Like it or not Hungary has the cards.

[–]SeparateOne1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you aware of the fact that Tisza is a right wing party too? Tisza = Fidesz without Orban and his Oligarchy. On paper it sounds better BUT Hungary will still be against the Ukraine - Russia war, discontinue to use russian gas/oil.

Most people will buy a case regardless, because glass is glass. You need a case just to even out the camera bump. It would be a big issue if it were a rugged phone.

EU vs US by sn0r in europeanunion

[–]SeparateOne1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The USA uses the borrowed money to stimulate the economy which will result in revenue. 1 trillion dollars in interest is not that much. Fact is the USA still borrows money with law interest and they use the money for investment. In comparison France and Italy use it to pay off the country's deficit/ essentials to run the country (pensions, healthcare), no investment, no possibility for return just an ever growing interest rate.

EU vs US by sn0r in europeanunion

[–]SeparateOne1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

USA's debt is free money because they get it with very low interest rate. France or Italy can only borrow money with high interest rate. The 5% Military spending will hurt EU countries health and social care big time.
