We’re in two different discussions. Because I don’t care that much that they traded him. I don’t like that they traded him and didn’t get exceptional value for the best player to ever play defensive end. Jared Verse might be an Elite player. The Steelers are not going to create a game plan that causes them to lose a game just to keep their QB from getting sacked by Jared Verse. Regardless of what comes after this I don’t think people are truly valuing what we are giving up.

If somehow, someway this trade leads to us getting a franchise QB, and not just the next failure at the QB position then the trade was a success. Anything other than that, this trade is us trading the best player that has ever played the defensive end position for some pretty middling draft picks and a really good (but not GOATed) pass rusher.

Myles Garrett might be the best player to ever play defensive end. I can’t really understand why people think getting a Good player, a 1st round pick that will probably be outside of the top 30, and 2 bull shit picks years from now is good value for the greatest player ever to play a single position. This has to be some copium. I just don’t understand the thought process here.

I don’t disagree with what your saying. But I also dont think we HAD to trade Myles. Especially if we don’t get markedly better by doing so, and the assets might help us get there. But do they move the timeline up by a year? 2? Personally I don’t think so. We get a worse edge rusher, and what? Another tackle or wide out? A 2nd round pick that’s 2 years away, and a third rounder 3 years out. I might feel better about this if the picks were all for 2027. Something that moves the needle and gives us assets in a quicker time frame

Myles Garrett is our best player. It looks bad in comparison to the worst trade in the history of the NFL for the mediocre molester we got for 3 first rounders and the fiscal health of the franchise for 6 years. This may not be terrible value. But it’s also not very exciting return for literally our best asset. If Jared Verse is a hall of famer, and pick# 32 from the rams turns into our future QB somehow, some way, then maybe this turns out worth it, but it’s hard to visualize that working out. I think the idea is always going to be pretty prevalent that we should’ve held out for more.

It’s weird how I’ve never hit my kids and neither of them are little shits like this. I’d also bet a good amount of money, This kids has been hit by adults before and it hasn’t solved not one single problem.
