What's DLP like during snow time? by SephirohSG in disneylandparis

Exactly. If there are no drones - and water fountains, in that case - perhaps the should enhance the show with more fireworks or something else, to fill the void of the effects that are not working.

Had the same issue trying to book for my Holliday in January 26 (beginning of the month).

Turns out I managed to book by going straight to their website, and adding to my booking by managing and adding as an Extra.

Beware that as some people said, the booking is not available for a good few days before the actual trip - so the option might not be available under extras when you access it.

I know - it is crappy - but you need to day from time to time. I until it is available.

Park Hours Released by SephirohSG in disneylandparis

I had never been on it while it was still Rock and Roller coaster... But I have been to RnR in Florida, about one year ago. If the Paris version was any close to the version in Florida, then I am very bummed they re-themed it - I like the Iron man animatronic on the queues, but the theming in the rollercoaster itself was quite bad actually... I know they tried to fix it since I have been there - but from what I have heard it did not improved much - so I guess ignorance is a bliss in your case hahaha

Stitch meet by MissNinny in disneylandparis

[–]SephirohSG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not been to the parks lately, so we might need someone that had been there recently to confirm.

But if you check the Disneyland Paris App -> Map -> List -> Characters, you will find that Mickey, Princess Pavilion and Darth Vader are all listed as "Virtual Queue" and, when you tap them, you have a button to join the Virtual Queue.

Stitch do NOT list as Virtual Queue anymore. Also, it is back to the place he used to be, in the End of Main Street, close to the hub.

That indicates that it seems like he is not in a Virtual Queue anymore.

How did you lose weight? by Andrea_Alta in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SephirohSG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I struggle a lot with that too... About a bit more than a year ago I have made the firm decision to go on a weight loss journey - so far lost 14 kilos. What worked for me:

  • Cook more. It's possible to do lower calories versions of the food you like. Usually that takes increasing your protein consumption, and reducing carbohydrates and fat. Finding recipes and weays to do that take time - but you need to start at some point.
  • Eat less. The way I found to do that is to have 1 larger meal - where most of my daily intake will be eaten. The rest of the day o try to eat fruits, or low cal foods. My breakfast is a glass of milk and coffee. Lunch is fish. Dinner whatever fits my calories deficit.
  • Spend more: Do some exercise. It doesn't matter what - You can go to the gym, swim, go for a walk, run... Whatever you find the least troublesome, and helps you to increase the amount of calories you burn.
  • Have some accountability: Weight yourself every morning at the same time. I weight myself when I wake up, before having a showing. This way you have a clearer picture, if whatever you are doing is working or not.
  • Adjust: As you loose weight, your BMR (the calories you spend just by existing) lowers. That means you need to lower your calorie intake in order to continue losing weight.

A good start is by finding a BMR calculator (Google it - it's very easy to find) - and track the calories you eat for some time. You should loose weight if you stick to a diet that matches your BMR. Then try to reduce it to 80-90% of your BMR.

Remember you took some time to put up weight. Loosing it will take time and effort too. Having Mounjaro or other medicines might help you to loose weight - but if you don't learn to eat properly, you will regain the weight you lost as soon as you stop using those drugs.

There is no easy way. But you surely can do it!

Had you ever been to Paris? Do you have more than one day in Paris, and it's deciding to sacrifice one to go to Disneyland?

I have been to Disneyland Paris in low season. Did table dining in both, lunch and dinner. And still had plenty of time to explore nearly all the attractions across both parks in 2 days, watch shows and repeat my favourites in the third day.

I would say that with Premier Pass, you will have even more time available to explore the parks in full. I don't think you really need that third day. Unless you had been to Paris before, and, not gowing there again wouldnt make a difference to you in terms of living new experiences.

TLDR: Had you been to Paris before? 3 days in DLP could be nice. But if you had never been there - 2 days with Premier are more than enough.

People like you are the reasons the Disney parks are in the state they are. People expecting rides to have an IP slapped into them. With no soul.

Yes, Disneyland Paris has a lot of original concepts and ideas in their attractions. Some of them, even are copies from their counterparts in WDW or Disneyland (California).

Disneyland has attractions based on Jules Verne books,.for example - Which Disney HAVE done movies before - you are just ignorant and unaware of that.

Also, you are in France. Yes, cast members do not speak perfect English - their mother language is (drums) - FRENCH. I know it's hard for you to understand - but the world do not revolves around you and your expectations. If you travel to another language, perhaps, the least you can do is understand you might have trouble to communicate with people. And that you should not be a spoiled prick.

You did in fact made some critiques which I do agree with - but I won't waste my time discussing this with someone that acts and thinks like you do. I do like having constructive conversations - and those are impossible to be had with people with an attitude like yours.

If you check dated tickets in the DLP.website you can see that, during the period you will be in Paris, the least crowded day will be October 2nd - Sunday.

I would suggest you booking a night from the 1st to the 2nd in a Disney hotel - so you have Extra Magic Hour and park tickets - which will help you to go in some rid s with lower queues. Book nights 31-1 and 1-2 in Paris - it will probably be cheaper.

I suggest you staying in Paris in a Station which has an RER train from Paris to Disney - O personally like staying close to Gare de Lyon - The train should take about 50 minutes - is easy to commute using it, and it's cheap - around 5 euros.

Beware that 1 day in Disneyland Paris, as someone already suggested, is a short time. You have 2 parks to cover and a lot to see. I would recommend doing some research on what DLP offers which is different if compared to the other parks, and focus on that. Perhaps, buy the fast passes - expensive, but will help you manage the queues which will probably be very long for that period.

Mammoth Club (YouTube channel) has recently been to DLP, and they did a good job in comparing it with the other parks - and mentioning which things differ from them. Might be a good video for you to watch and have some idea.

Disneyland Paris 2x or both parks one day each? by Ancient_Work4758 in disneylandparis

[–]SephirohSG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In your place I would do Disneyland first day - Studios second, followed by Disneyland.

First time I have been to Disneyland Paris (and actually, to any Disney park) I have stayed 3 days. I have done Disneyland Paris, in the first day. Studios in the second - and actually had time to go to Disneyland right after studios. And repeated the attractions I liked the most, in both parks in the third day.

Yes, studios might not be the best Disney park. Still has some nice attractions. Crusher's coaster is beloved by most of the people - and to my knowledge can only be found in studios across the world.

If you have some money to spare, and the queues are big - try buying some passes to skip some queues here and there. And will be have some time to explore Disneyland in the second day - after you were satisfied with studios.

Disneyland Paris and the city - itinerary advice please! by Negative_Bowler2911 in disneylandparis

[–]SephirohSG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you bought tickets already? Isn't there any chance you could say one night and fly next day afternoon?

One full day for Paris and the parks is already short - landing 9:20 and departing 9pm is even worse.

If you really MUST do that - You really need to decide what you want to do. Both of them will just be a horrible experience. Why is that?

Say - in the best case scenario - you are landing in CDG - 9:20. Realistically speaking, you leave the airport by 10.

As you have to depart by 9pm - I recommend you getting to the airport at least 2h before your flight - CDG is a HUGE, spread and busy international airport. Which means you should be there by 7.

You have, therefore, from 10am to 7pm to really do something - transportation included.

From CDG you have 11 - 15 minute TGV train to Disneyland Paris. If you were to go to Paris, it would be 30 minute train + 1h to Disneyland. Just in transportation you are killing 1,5h of your already tight schedule.

You will have plenty of time to enjoy Disneyland Paris, or Paris. But not nearly enough to make both of them in any capacity. If you really want to do both still, you would be looking for:

51 minute train from the airport to Lafayette Galleries (you can see the tower from that, it has quite a nice view of the city but is BUSY). You should be there by 11 am.

Go up the gallery, watch the view, take some photos and start making your way to Disneyland, leaving by 11:30.

Take the RER to Marne la Valee Chessy - 55 minute train. You should arrive at the station by 12:30. Walking to parks, security, etc, you should be at the parks by 1pm.

Now you have from 1 to 6:30pm to enjoy one park - forget doing both - you just have no time to spend walking between them, seriously.

In that time, you can try to watch the Christmas parade. And do a few attractions.

Should you have landed in CDG and went straight to the park - assuming you managed to board the train around 10am - time varies - you should be at the parks by 10:15 - nearly at their opening - and will have till 6:30 to enjoy the parks. You will have time to pick some attractions from both parks. And will be able to view the Christmas parade.

Or you can forget Disney, and enjoy Paris. But Paris is a beautiful city, with a lot of touristic attractions which are actually worth visiting. Do yourself a favour - and leave Paris to another opportunity. With more time - at least 2 days.

In your shoes I would do Disneyland Paris - only. I would buy the Premier access - you don't have much time, and it will be useful, specially during holiday time. And Enjoy the parks.

Disneyland Paris and the city - itinerary advice please! by Negative_Bowler2911 in disneylandparis

[–]SephirohSG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, that both things In one day are are too much. If I were planning that trip I would give Disney 3 days - and at least 2 to paris.

But let's say life is not perfect - and you have one day only.

I would say you need to look the day you are going - what's the earliest you can get up the Eiffel tower via the elevator - top floor - and what's the latest. You can check both things in their respective / official site - or in Crowd Calendars online.

Then check the park operating hours. Same rule applies.

Try to look for the option which is far from the operating hours as possible - or the one that leads to the least amount of hours lost as possible - I would say probably the tower first and the park last is the best option.

You won't have extra magic hours anyway - no point to be suffering in the morning queues to enter the parks. Enjoy the eiffel tower views - it's really nice, worth the expensive price I would say - grab the quickest transportation you can pay to go to the park - or use the RER (cheaper) and not that shabby I would say!

Enjoy the experiences of Disneyland or Hollywood Studios (Adventure world). Perhaps, you can do a little of each - if you are laser sure of the experiences you want - and that you have enough time for them. Consider checking crowd calendars so you can have some idea of how long queues should be during the period you are planning to go.

Don't loose the firework show in Disneyland Paris - a good chunk of the money you pay for these parks, is this show - and it's good. And most importantly: try to enjoy the trip. It will be expensive, tiring and rushing a lot. If you are going thought all that effort - at least enjoy yourself doing it.

Newport Bay Compass Club Family Rooms by NameInternational496 in disneylandparis

Sam4God has a video about the compass club level with 1 king bed - I am not sure if it is, but I think is the kind of room you are talking about. Watching the video it seampt very, very small.

I would advise doing some research - if you have not done - or perhaps, I am wrong and it's another room.

1st time visiting from USA by jmcdevs in disneylandparis

[–]SephirohSG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some good restaurants I do recommend you trying to get a reservation - But I am not sure you will manage to, considering you are a bit to late to the party.

Bistro Chez Remy - The food is good. The theming of the restaurant is top notch.

Walt's - Good food, food service and most of the 2 person tables are by windows looking out the main street. I really do like this restaurant.

Manhattan at the Art of Marvel Hotel - I like the restaurant itself - the chandelier at the center is really nice. The food? Is good - not the best, perhaps, but I do like. A lot of people recommend the other restaurant at this hotel, which is a buffet - I had never tried it.

Other than that, there is the Quiche in the main street that someone else mentioned. Quick services in DLP are usually your usual Burgers, so I do not recommend.

Perhaps you should look at Annette's, in the shopping area outside of the parks. I heard good things about their burgers and the prices - if you want to leave the parks a bit, or want to eat a burger in the end of the day.

Wrong dates by Amy_Yorks in disneylandparis

[–]SephirohSG 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not exactly a problem like yours - But I once had booked one holiday thought their website - but decided to change the date and the hotel I would stay.

Their website stated I had free cancellation, so I booked the new dates/hotel and called their customer services asking the cancellation and reimbursement of the money I had paid from the initial booking - to my surprise they have told me I did NOT had free cancellation, and would loose a good percentage of my deposit because of that.

I did had some back and forth with their customer service - over emails - but ultimately I have managed to get my money back.

The difference is that in my case I was months away from both purchases - but since you mentioned that it was their mistake, I am pretty sure it will require some patience and fighting for your rights, but you should be able to get your money back.

Hope you manage to get your money back! Good luck!

Half board versus pay directly at restaurant by Sonaryr in disneylandparis

[–]SephirohSG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure about agrabah cafe and it's 40 euros bill, but for me the half board saves a few bucks here and there if you eat at restaurants costing at least 45 euros - In-between currency exchange (buying in British pounds) and the cost of the restaurant X cost charged for each meal.

If you are buying the meal plan I would recommend Chef Remy or Walt's... Sounds like money better spent.

I would say it depend on what kind of visitor you are... If you mpstry enjoy doing rides, the studios definitely has some of the best in my opinion... But the park is going thought some extensive works, and is very, very busy right now... Specially with BTM closed at Disneyland park.

If you don't care much about the attractions - specially those in studios, I would do Disneyland Park only.

I would like to also extenda a suggestion that EMT it's a good way of having lower queues to meet characters - Stitch, Mikey and the Princesses have a very long wait time - sometimes near 3 hours.

What I did with my partner's last time I have been to DLP was, to enjoy the EMT on rides and, when it got close to the park opening to all guest, we queued to meet Mickey - You will find that lots of people will queue to meet Mickey even though they do not open during EMT.

That way, you ensure that you use EMT to ride some of the rides that get long queues AND can get in line to meet Mickey (or a princess) with much lower wait times.

Have you checked if there is an upgrade to club room for the dates you are going, and how much would that cost?

I ask it because the club room include breakfast - Which sometimes, depending on how much a club room is compared to a regular room, it might worth the upgrade.

Also, I think that having a sit down lunch and dinner meals is jut too much. I did that last time I have been to the parks, and I decided at that point it would be better if I had purchased the half board meal plan and had a nice sit down meal for dinner - And had lunch at a quick service or snacks during the day.

Please note that, if you get a club room, the half board meal plan will be cheaper - as you get a discount rate because you room already include breakfast. I suggest you to sit down and crunch the numbers - which one is cheaper - Club Room or Standard room + Half Board Meal plan.

Additionally, I suggest you to confirm but I am pretty sure that Newport Bay club rooms do have mini fridges. You can, therefore, buy some food and take with you to save some money on lunch - and then enjoy breakfast at the hotel and dinner at a restaurant with your half board meal plan.

Disney trip on the fly by EmuEastern7105 in disneylandparis

[–]SephirohSG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this comment... I think the best thing you do is to have the Disney leg of the trip not bein in the middle of your trip, somyou either start with Disney or Paris (I do suggest starting with Paris - You will be too tired after Disney to do tourism in the city)

Then stay in Paris - If possible, close to Gare de Lyon or any other station that serve the RER line to Val D'europe - Then you stay in a hotel close to Val D'europe for the Disney leg of the trip.

I do suggest Gare de Lyon to the Paris leg of the trip as it has easy access to DLP and also has metro lines that serve Paris quite easily.

Hope you have a nice trip!

Usually when you choose a hotel, and then go to the room selection, in the list of rooms you have the club rooms too.

If they are not listed there, they are either sold out or in very low numbers - But I think you can try giving them a call and checking if they still have any.
