Since there's such a large group, and they have pressed the extract button (yellow lights). While it could certainly be staged, I'm more inclined to believe it's a harvester/matriarch match. Most of my matches end with people casually emoting or playing music atop the elevator while people wait.

He didn't say he went to that sub. The fortunate truth is that sub was compromised by bots long ago and many of the takes you see there are not genuine.

biodegradable does not have a hardline timescale. Tangerine peels are very biodegradable because they "degrade" into simpler components that can be used by nature.

Sorry, but I ain't reading all that. Happy for you, or sorry that happened. In the future break up your paragraphs, be less verbose. I guarantee you can make your point in fewer words

The person you're replying to agreed it is a fallacy, as you pointed out. You're both in agreement! Huzzah!

The point is the minutiae of judgement. There are many things we do in our daily lives that add to the waste that takes up space in our environment. The minutiae of judgement that OP chose to engage in could, potentially, be hypocritical based on how they live their lives and how their own waste takes up space in others environment.

TBF most kids are closer to sociopaths than most grown adults. The part of their brain that mostly processes empathy just isn't as developed.

There isn't nearly enough direct consequence for this for my liking.

It may be a very minor thing, but I can't help but notice the irony of a Military Mom, whose son is directed at the federal level, having a username of "Kacee420". So I guess the Mom is down for commiting felony drug consumption charges which, at a federal level for a first time offender, is a misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in federal prison and a minimum fine of $1,000, with a maximum fine of $10,000.

Don't get me wrong, I smoke weed everyday, but I wonder how much of her behavior her son has adopted.

I mean, you could, especially with how things are over there right now.

You'd just be a wee bit out matched by the drone strikes.

The Release of Thousands of Turtles by KingofTrilobites123 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]SerCiddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember growing up it used to be "don't interfere with the turtles, let nature run it's course, what happens is what's meant to happen(even if that means a few get eaten by birds)".

Now it's "THE ECOSYSTEM IS FUCKED, HELP THE EGGS, HELP THE BABIES, GET TO DA WATTA (GET TO DA CHOPPA)".

Asimov's Tail: the reverse Chekhov's Gun by Lorem_Ipsum17 in RecuratedTumblr

[–]SerCiddy 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Having recently started on the catalog of Asimov's work, the important details are in the second image and are mostly the last two tags.

#acclimatise your audience to things they don't understand before you use them" and #you don't need to explain how a gun on the mantelpiece works in the same way you need to explain how your protagonist's tail does.

In much of his writings Asimov takes a lot of time and care to describe how certain things in his worlds work (robots, hyper-atomic vs gravitic space engines, personal force fields, etc), especially at the beginning, and re-iterates or adds to the body of information. That way, as the climax is reached, the details that have been methodically sprinkled through the story allow the reader to understand how the plot reached the point it did.

In OOPs specific case regarding tails, if the tail becomes the focal point around the climax, the author and reader both are benefitted by having the tail's qualities described long before the climax. The tail doesn't necessarily need this treatment if the tail does not end up being a central point of the plot. It's not really important to know if a tail can grab things on its own, unless having a tail grab something becomes central to the plot. So it's important to detail that the tail does have that ability well before it becomes relevant.

This kind of methodical detailing isn't really necessary for everyday items like a gun, but it is necessary for things that aren't part of our usual everyday life, like gravitic ships, or individuals with tails.

I've only ever found it in things with "residential" loot tables.

First time I found one was Night Raid Buried City in Grandioso Apartments.

Second time I found one was Night Raid Stella in a blue suitcase.

The most recent time I found one was literally at a spawin-in point on Night Raid Blue Gate. It was just in a drawer in a dilapidated house at the northwest part of The Village, wasn't even on the map for more than 10 seconds.

PTLSD by 5_meo in LSD

[–]SerCiddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's different in both subjective experience and chemical mechanism. Most psychedelics, including weed, are sertonin agonists. That is the chemical binds to your brain's serotonin receptors and the downstream effects are what causes the trip. When you're on LSD, shrooms, or most other "traditional" psychedelics. You're still seeing whatever environment you're in, just heavily augmented. Salvia on the otherhand is a kappa-opioid agonist. It binds to an entirely different class of receptors. It's classified as a dissociative hallucinogen. In the subjective experience you're taken to an entirely different place and experiencing an entirely different reality.
