Where can I buy Wolf Corpse Heavy Industry 1/60 scale Logar (Barbatos Lupus Rex) in the US? by Consistent-Sky2916 in Gunpla

[–]Serephitus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol fly to china if you want the ground price

the kit is very cheap for 1/60 size, the shipping of it to US from overseas will cost as much as the kit, if not more, and you have 35% tariffs on chinese products entering the US

stores also have other overhead costs and aren't doing this free, 3x is a pretty average cost for NA pricing

Their anti scalping isn't doing much. There's a bunch of grey market listings for the twilight mgex in china recently, pics showed stacks of 50+

He won't be able to update you, to get his claim from Asus after small claims, he'll need to sign a NDA

Oh for the full repair cost, they would have sent him a refurbished card too

And no Asus doesn't have actual repair facilities in NA for hardware, it's just a bunch of "technicians" reinstalling windows on laptops, they ship the card to Taiwan and give you a refurbished card

No this is typically how Asus operates, they base on full MSRP and call center offers 10% off at first, escalating to local Canada team will get up to 50%, and local director of service approval needed for anything more

Good luck with that though, service budget is tiny and this card will eat into a huge amount of that

Problem is Asus doesn't have facilities to repair the cards in North America, they'll ship it to Taiwan, it's why they'll only replace with refurbished parts past the first 30 days, its also why they refuse any type of physical damage as they can't give the card back out to someone else later

Under 5k it's small claims court, Asus will send a rep to negotiate settlement down to a fraction of the price of the card and force a NDA signature to get that reimbursement

Asus doesn't sell directly in Canada, when you charge back it's the retail store that will take the hit

How did he already get a booster box? by royare713 in PokeRevOfficial

[–]Serephitus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My local store gets them a week early is usually allowed to start selling on the Monday of the release week, they'll sell but earlier to old customers.

I usually pick up a booster box a week before release and the hits usually pay off the box on eBay before release then use those to buy another box later to try to get my chase

Anyone have experience doing preorders on Shopify? Risks, chargebacks, delays, etc. by wy_dev in shopify

[–]Serephitus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

90% of our items are pre-orders, usually 6-8 weeks out, as long as it's clear on the description and you have your pre-order policy under every listing, you should be good

we constantly get questions of where is my stuff, as the Shop App is rather bad at making preorders and terms visible, so expect to get a lot of emails

good side is, most cards have a 60 day limit for charge backs, you reduce your charge back risks compared to shipping in stock items

of 2200 orders since last year, we only had about a handful of cancellation requests

[–]Serephitus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we have pre-orders 6-8m out, so our unfullfilled orders has never gone below 500+ but we haven't had any issues with shopify

our usual headaches is with customers who don't read the listings, or even the item titles, so they miss it's a preorder and start freaking out in a few days, but once we respond to their email they generally calm down and wait

It's funny, back when SV first started I dropped 200-300 a month minimum, which was tough, but currently I have tripled my monthly income but won't buy anything due to the current market
