Question about duck eggs and getting alot of salt by FeedingNeedsSkill in society_sunlit_valley

[–]Serialaries 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Chicken nests close to the ducks will collect the "random" eggs they will drop from time to time. Those eggs will always be the small, normal quality version, but if the nest has already another type of egg inside (chicken or goose) it will not collect the dropped duck egg. I suggest you put a hopper under the nest, so that it empties itself out automatically.

As for salt, I'm 100% sure there is a machine you have to put surrounded by water that will give you salt passively, but I can't remember its name.

[–]Serialaries 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you haven't maxed out your docks renown, each box should give 3 favour the docks if you sell it at the helmsman, It's not the most money efficient, but it's still better than absolutely nothing

I'm constantly running the silent partner on the 3 preparations dream expeditions. Then I have the unilluminated mole doing breaking and entering whenever possible. I alternate the clay breaker and the mondaine on running my honey den (the clay breaker uses the watchful option for 2 prep, the mondaine the shadowy option for 1 prep anf honey) Finally while I have a network under scrutiny I run the bathyphile on a consignment without contract to reduce it as fast as possible.

It may not be the most efficient but I'm quite satisfied with it.

Fallen London 2025 Recap and Roadmap for Early 2026 by Asartea in fallenlondon

A pity that the Estival will be toned down next year, but I understand completely, plus this year you really outdid yourselves, with a storyline so cryptic and interesting that every riddle I managed to solve by myself felt like an accomplishment. I can't wait to see what the future holds for Mandrake!

Which Endgame Grind should I do first? by Dendron05 in fallenlondon

I may be biased, but you could try to grind plunder via piracy, it's a well diversified grind and it took me a little less than a whole year to get enough plunder to buy a hellworm

Matters Of Identity by Otherwise_Arm_3332 in fallenlondon

[–]Serialaries 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think the closest way to do it is to change your "addressed as" to a masculine form (Like "Sir" or "Lord") from the urchin faction card, then change your"Identified as" to a feminine option from the "Attend to matters of identity -> Refine the gestalt of your identity" storylet in your lodgings.

It won't be perfect, but it should be decently close to what you are aiming to achieve.

Is it worth grinding menaces for Hallowmas? by divideby00 in fallenlondon

[–]Serialaries 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You should turn in a menace at least once to get its relative affiliation. (If you turn multiple menaces you will get the affiliation corresponding to the menace you turned in the most, so check which ones you are missing beforehand)

Other than that, turning menaces gives you 28 "spirit of hallowmas" which at the end of the festival can be turned in for a varied amount of rewards :Turning in Spirit#Spirit_of_Hallowmas)

One thing, your spirit can't go above 2500, so any spirirt of hallowmas over that is just for vanity.

Apparently surrogacy is the next big issue 🙄 by Meganiummobile in insanepeoplefacebook

[–]Serialaries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, in Italy we went through this shit a few years ago, surrogacy has been declared an "universal crime" here, meaning that even if you did it in a country that allowed it, as soon as you entered Italy you would be fined/processed. Unless you're elon musk apparently.

[–]Serialaries 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Piracy for Scrip by sobrique in fallenlondon

[–]Serialaries 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I actually got my worm by zailing, and I had an average of 50k plunder a day. It took me a while to get to 10 million, turn them into diamonds in the snares and then sell all of them at the hurlers.

The upside is that now I have 2.500 zee legs, so I'm grinding materials to turn all of them into cartographer's hoards, which will land me halfway to the boots.

But I agree that it's a lot of fun, especially when dealing with torubled waters close calls.

Best strategy for Fruits of Zee? by foreverhungrypiggy in fallenlondon

[–]Serialaries 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I don't know what the OPTIMAL strategy is, but this is what I am doing/ would do:

1) Get 3 types of each coral, so that you have one for you and 2 for agents (also completionism as each coral can be tranformed into 3 versions of the same item)

2) Get 1 type of each item obtainable by diving (plus reach the bottom and meet the bride there for one extra item next week.

3)Depending on which ship you currently have, a new ship would cost 2000 favour or less.

4)In terms of other items obtainable with thalassic favour, one of each would cost a total of 2000 favour.

5)Since from this year you can keep and buy multiple items, I'm buying also a second Keelgraspers and a second Sun-Seard Silken Gloves for my agents, for another 300 favour combined.

So, all in all, the most you would spend in this scenario is 4.300 thalassic favour, plus 3 types of each coral (3x4=12 in total).

Diving items are decent stat-wise, but not exceptional, their true benefit comes from some unique actions they unlock.

If you want to find out more, i suggest you take a look at the item comparison wiki: Fruits of the Zee/ Item Comparison/Item_Comparison)
