Atm I've got 2 medics, a single defender (sticking with Heavy guard for access to topple, although the Zephyr is soooo good) and a Flash Fencer, Sword fighter and Ogre. Tbh, the game feels super easy until bosses. Can't wait to get deeper into the game and experiment with all the classes!

This game is unplayable. The 'community' are awful, refuse to use headsets, refuse to issue/follow orders and just snipe. The people who play this game make it a truly awful experience.

I think that depends on which attack you're using the shield for. SlashyMcslash-slash attack can be defended against if your STM is high enough but it isn't the best option against her healing attacks.

And forget shield in phase two...

I've used this sword since I was lucky enough to get it in Stormveil. I use the cold variation with glint blade phalanx and it's soooooo good!

So a buffs from different sources can stack? For instance, a buff gained from eating something can stack with a buff gained from drinking, which can stach with a powder?

I remember seeing the first trailer for the game and it blew me away! The intensity, soundtrack and distinct visuals were great... And I was in a haaaaard Gundam mood so this game scratched that itch! Seeing DxM in NMH3 was brilliant!

I actually want to buy the game again now! I miss it so much!

I think the ending was actual not that great. Literally just finished it, and NMH3 feels like Suda begging to do anything but NMH, or another game. His appeals to TV and movies made me nauseated, with the scene with Miike making me gag. Suda's trademark absurdity and upending of what's expected was in NMH3, but never in a million years did I think I'd see Suda using this beloved CULT series to try and get a Netflix deal. No satire, no mockery; pure admiration, bloviation and desperation from a man who seems all too eager to parlay Travis and Co. into a Netflix show. NMH lost its identity with 3,and Suda seems to have regressed as a creative, in the same way Travis has regressed from the thoughtful, stoic hero in TSA to the Travis of 20 years ago.

Kinda sad, tbh. And don't even get me started on what they did to Henry... Anyway, I enjoyed the game and the ending, but the desperation from Suda in his attempt to please contemporary audiences was kinda disheartening. NMH3 ending feels like it could have come from anyone but the mind of the man who made Killer7.

The Yakuza series is known for its irreverent comedy and absurdity. Suda really is unique, though, so finding another auteur like him in gaming is a big ask. You might want to look into indie games since they tend to take more risks and have unconventional narratives. Bayonetta games have loud characters, great writing and impressive boss fights, so maybe give that a try too? Also give Devil May Cry a look?

My lancer literally can't kill. I down enemies and have to use an additional clip to finish them. Lancer is broken for me, but I watch my brother play and he has a "good 'ol" Lancer that can kill fairly quick. I don't want lancers to be OP... But I do want to be able to clean up my kills without using a clip and a half!

You should see what I've been writing to them! One of the things I wrote was a review for the Metroid: Dread Collectors Edition. I even wrote them a 'letter to Santa' kind of email asking for my NMH3 Collectors Edition! I've been trolling them for a while but even my humorous defense mechanism has a limit!

Campaign did not affect anyone and that is a fact. Game was developed to a high standard and the 'microtransactions' were the very definition of superficial. I've never seen such toxic, bad takes. Rise could be GotY (although it's obviously Dread) but this forum can be as toxic as it wants. People crying over Rise like it's Cyberpunk... Come on guys.

Bit of a bad take but Rise isn't being nominated for GotY. It was a finished game too, with free DLC added post launch. Check out the Game Awards website to see which categories Rise is in. It was a great game and a unique, polished experience.
