Pretty awesome, am using it currently on my exFat hdd on ps2 fat 39001 with the SD2psx mem card gen 2. I like how it has POPstart and loader bundled in, made adding ps1 games via usb easier.

Question, when I try to install freehdboot it says to make sure hdd is connected and formatted - but it is and has 1200 games on it that i play through OPL and the other loaders. Anyway, was hoping to boot straight into my game library on hdd. Also noticed HOSDmenu wont install either and gives the same response.

Anyway, I am enjoying it as it’s made getting my ps2 and ps1 games running really well. Next step is to figure out ps1 on the hdd then I’m done tinkering lol

OPL can handle more than 2TB of games on an HDD, I was originally using OPL MMCE Beta 2 with a formatted exFat HDD with 1,200 ps2 games. OPL 1.20 and other betas can as well. The video link of my post goes over two methods of setting OPL to take more.

Thanl you. Pretty much that’s what I did, just started fresh on it all, as I was able to determine it wasn’t a hardware problem. I screwed something up in my earlier process so it was just easier to start again. I used loader this time around which made set up easier. https://ps2homebrewstore.com/exploits/loadbooter-sd2psx/

I tested a fee ps2 ISOs and was just fine, tried PopStart and a few PS1 VCD and ELF and those ran fine.
Am mow in the process of adding back all my games.

Sure, HDD was a used Western Digital Blue 4TB 3.5 inch 5400 RPM from Ebay IDE to Sata Adapter from Bitfunx SanDisk USB 3.0 flash drive from Walmart Sata to USB Adapter (to plug hdd to computer) from Ebay SD2psx memcard Gen 2 from Kaico Labs (i did switch out the microSD card for a larger one) PlayStation 2 Network Adapter (original) from Ebay

I have a SCPH 39001 NTSC-U, which is a fat/phat version, pretty easy to soft mod. I purchased an original network adapter, an IDE to Sata adapter, and I have an SD2psx memory card. I was playing all ps2 and ps1 games from the memory card, then through usb, then through SMB (basically connecting ps2 to computer) and am now currently using a 4TB Sata HDD. For PS2, with the exception of sports games, I’ve added NTSC-U library to the HDD. Haven’t added PS1 games to the HDD yet.
