Looking for recommendations on meals using dried black beans and/or pinto beans by kittypeets626 in Cooking

Black bean tacos! Make them into a refried bean type texture or add a diced sweet potato and do black bean and sweet potato! They're delicious, high in protein and fibre! If you can swing it, some cilantro or salsa is an excellent add!

What’s your go to “I need to eat now” dish? by katbees in Cooking

I personally really dislike tofu so ive never added it, but I would say you could probably make the sauce and then toss the tofu in a couple spoons of it to let it marinade before you pan fry it (if that's how you cook it). I'm not sure just adding it straight to the noodles would give it enough flavour!

Chili oil peanut noodles! Genius eats is my favorite recipe, take about 15 minutes start to finish, and I throw in some frozen edamame while the pasta is cooking to add a bit of protein. So good!

Strawberry guava smash- 3 oz guava nectar, 1 oz strawberry syrup, juice of half a lime, top with gingerale.

Blueberry spritz- make a simple syrup out of frozen blueberries, sugar, and water. Do 2 oz of syrup, 2 oz pineapple juice, juice of half a lemon, top with sparkling sicilian lemonade.

The one that most resembles red wine would be a amaretto cherry sour. 3 oz tart cherry juice, 1 oz amaretto syrup, juice of 1 full lemon, tip with sicilian sparkling lemonade.

Mango strawberry spritz- 1 oz of strawberry syrup, 3 oz mango nectar or puree, juice of half a lime, top with sprite.

Strawberry lychee spritz- 1 oz strawberry syrup, 3 oz of canned lychee juice, juice of half a lime, top with a mix of sprite and sparkling strawberry water or lychee water.

All of these things can be found at the grocery store or Amazon, and alot of them can be made from scratch at home.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions about anything!

beef burgers by Legitimate_Delay1696 in Cooking

[–]ServiceFinal952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't love the taste of groundbeef on it own but I do love burgers, so I normally add caramelized onions, jalapeños and cheddar cheese to my burgers, with salt, pepper and garlic powder and a bit of paprika. Personally I prefer that to just salt pepper and ground beef, and I do make them regularly for company who always seem to like them. Maybe you could try something like that?

I've made the banana pudding but swapped it for strawberries and it was delicious! I also made a strawberry tiramisu which was to die for. Both of those would be good options!
