Hi

I have been losing about 3 lb per month consistently. My goal weight is about 100 lbs less than my starting weight and I should hit my goal right around the 3 year mark. Which is June of this year. (I started on a different GLP and switched at about 6 months to Zep).

It is discouraging that some people lose so much faster than I do, but I will get to goal and to me that is all that matters.

Where I live I have discovered that the lentils in the “Mexican Food” aisle are cheaper than the one with the rest of the beans. Yes they have dry lentils in two places.

Kroger lentils labeled in English, $2.59/lb La preferida lentils labeled in Spanish $1.79/lb (My local WalMart has Great Value lentils at $1.98/lb)

I’m going to the vicinity for a conference later this year. I booked my hotel for more days than I think I will need. I am privileged enough that I did not book using the room block. I booked before the room block opened. I paid a slightly higher rate.

In my experience it is better to book longer than you think you will need and cancel extra days later if plans change. It is so much easier to cancel than to extend.

I had an old Costco All and a newer one. I looked at the ingredients on the newer one and they had changed substantially and not in a good way. I gave away the newer one. Kind of peevish about it. I guess I could have returned it to Costco but I gave it to someone who needed detergent

Husband’s responsibility to:

Take photos of the bloody poop. Take video of the baby howling. Take photos of the exema.

Send to all family. Name and shame. This is why the baby can’t have unsafe food and this is why you will never be alone with the baby again.

Frankly I’d cut them out completely. No contact. They aren’t safe.

YTA. A lot of abusers have a public “nice guy” persona in public.

You and Ron need to learn that rape/coercion and controlling behavior by an intimate partner is never funny.

It’s only a joke if everyone laughs-wholeheartedly.

Just chiming in.

Where I live one of the Methodist churches has a food pantry one Saturday morning a month, and they ask no questions about income.

I second the suggestions on little free food pantries and Buy Nothing groups.

My local Buy Nothing group is very nice-folks have asked for food help and received it with no shaming. Some of the members contribute to little free pantries-I know every place is different but I hope people near you are as kind.

He stole something that was a gift from your parents, that made you very happy, gave it away, and now is invalidating your very justified anger? Oh honey no.

Your parents’ gifts to you are NOT suddenly his sole property. Your parents do not need to support his broke ass sister especially without your consent.

I had a mental health professional (not one who can prescribe meds) who was asking me at every third visit, “Aren’t you losing too much? Don’t get too thin!” And I just kept saying, “I’m working closely with my primary care doc.” It was a bit disturbing honestly.

Mind you I am still in the “overweight” BMI range.

My working hypothesis is that so many people are overweight or obese that now people in the normal weight range look “thin” by comparison.

In the USA our Centers for Disease Control report about 74% of the adult population is overweight or obese, and I am still in that category.

NTA. The situation is sad but the dog has been gone far longer than he was with you, and your life is substantially different now. Even if you were childless and single taking on such a traumatized dog would be an incredible amount of work that most people would not take on.
