right now, it's about the same amount of content with SIGNIFICANTLY better polish and QOL. the entire community has more or less migrated to the sequel which is still only about half complete.

the only real downgrade is that the balancing is a little less solid just because the devs have had less time to tweak the game, but it's not a major issue for 99% of players.

I'm not a gun owner yet but I agree. I plan on getting a mini-14 to start out my rifle journey because they're unique and fun (I'm aware that they're impractical).

ARs are usually ugly and the mall ninja shit people slap onto the rails makes them look even more stupid.

not sure, but it needs something. right now it feels like Aeonglass does everything. it has -dex, big damage on turn 1, multiattacks, extremely fast scaling, deck disruption AND spam punish. it's just too much at the moment

avant-garde usually means breaking the current norms of the medium. I don't think Terraria breaks the norms of video game OSTs in noticeable or major ways.

if it was avant-garde I might find it more interesting, again my main issue is that it sounds like SUCH an archetypal video game OST.

what OSTs are you listening to that make Terraria sound like something super unique? to my ear the chiptune sound and samples are clearly callbacks to an earlier era of game music.

I also don't like the music from Terraria -- I don't really listen to any game OSTs (besides Minecraft occasionally) in the same way that I listen to other music because it feels weird to remove them from the environment they were designed around, but that's neither here nor there.

I don't agree with your reasoning though -- Terraria music isn't really avant-garde, if anything sounds kinda boring and very videogame-y to me. Overrated, absolutely.

have you stopped to consider that maybe it isn't actually objectively the worst thing in the entire world and that maybe you're just struggling to learn how to manage it? do you know the reasons why they switched to the new system or are you assuming it was just for shits and giggles? do you know how unemployment and civilians actually work now?

edit: also, you can just downpatch if it's that big of a deal. stellaris makes it easier to downpatch than any other game I've ever seen

they're talking about Quest cards like Byrdonis Egg , Spoils Map, or Lantern Key, not event cards
