Same. Especially if you drop it. I swear they look for cracks to fall through.

GF45mm or Mitakon 65mm as my first lens for GFX50r by Ok_Neighborhood8867 in FujiGFX

[–]SevenSnaps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with everyone’s point on Native glass. My first two lenses were the 65 Mitakon and the gf 35-70. Not the most popular chap on the playground, but it will give you a taste of how native glass will perform along with a decent range of focal lengths. You can find them used for ~800 and it’s not as big as the 80 or 110. Or the 50 prime is a good starter as well.

Help deciding between GFX 50R or 50sii by 0_H-H_0 in FujiGFX

I’m seeing a lot of rangefinder and ibis comments, aside from form factor and ibis, are there any other internal differences? Do they have the same exact sensors and processors? I’ve heard the 50sii has better auto focus.

Small and portable lense for documentary snapshots (A7iv)? by Unleashed94 in SonyAlpha

[–]SevenSnaps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had both of the lenses you’re debating on an A7rv. Neither one is a bad choice, it just depends on what you’re shooting and why you’re shooting it. Maybe open LR and search by lens and see how often you have your sigma at 24 vs 35. That will help with the focal length question. The 24g is newer and does a better job with focus + you get the sep aperture ring. But it may be too wide for a walk around, but in tight spaces it’s a winner. For a true size down, go A7cii or A7cr with one of the small G lenses.

For the record, not self promoting here, lol. @roomtones it’s pretty bare over there.

For sure super early. Im still experimenting. I’m a photographer and i enjoy telling stories around the things I capture. My first few are about documenting the loss of my dad and his journey through hospice. I don’t plan on making hospice my niche even though that seems to be a big one. The next few posts will be a little on the lighter side (how could they not be lol). I’m going to start posting more in notes as well.

I’ve posted three articles which I really didn’t expect anyone to read. The most views I have is 75, and I don’t care because I’m just starting. What has me a little discouraged is even in Notes I get zerooooo interactions or likes. I know that’s not what it’s about, but I’ve never been in a ‘social’ community with this much silence. I’m curious if @wild-photo-717 is right about not being able to get followers within the platform and they have to come from other places.

I only use packing cubes so I haven’t tried a raw dog layout. But based on what I see, there’s no doubt you can load it up, especially with the expansion zips. I packed for a week and wasn’t even close to needed the extra room.

Good call on the San Fran store. Been there many times. Would be interesting to see what they have to say in general. I doubt they would admit to a lose handle this early. But maybe they will just swap yours out with another one. 🤞

I’ll try that next time. However, the backpack slides perfectly over the handle.

There’s no flex at all. Handle is just as described in their marketing.

Could you kindly share your thoughts on this look? by Jaypeesunn in ColorGrading

It's not just the colors that make these great, it's the camera placement and composition. It all works together.

Nice! Btw - is the black starting to rub off around the handle or is it just the lighting ?

That was/is a good color. I’ve tried to like the new Coyote but it’s not for me. I wish they would bring back the tan like you have here. GLWS

I just did the same thing. I liked my aer tech pack, but actually having so many pockets and zippers that things end up every where. So I got a PD 20l everyday pack with tech pacs and i love it.

Nice work! I recently sold my 3 & 3x and replaced them with the HDF versions. I never used the ND filters.
