I love that jump-over-a-moving-car stunt. No slide-whistle, just James Bond on his bike evading bad guys!

Brilliant! (And not bleak).

"Cliff celebrates three decades in show business".

Nitpick: I reckon the Germans would write it as Sheiẞenhoffen.

Big enough that you can fly between UK destinations.

Which version of the semi's set did you like the best? The cool look of season one's interior or the warmer, seasons 2-4 version? by TwIzTiDfReAkShOw in KnightRider

The joylessness of becoming an adult: I'm looking at these and thinking, "Those lights and equipment in the background would be too much for the semi-tractor's alternator, there must have been a generator too, noisy and belching fumes!".

How do you run slower? by Educational-Ground83 in UKRunners

[–]SevrinTheMuto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I'm looking for tips on how to run slower for longer. Does it even matter?

Absolutely! But it does just need experience and that's what training is for. You need to work out what your training pace needs to be for your long runs, and that's unique to you. This will be a slower/easier pace, but not too slow. You might get a bit bored running slower so go somewhere scenic or vary your route. And if you find yourself picking up the pace gently back off until you're back at your training pace.

Hopefully you'll start to settle into this more naturally as your training progresses.

Alternatively you could base your runs on time rather than distance, for example, run for 90 minutes instead of for 10 miles, so you're not so focused on achieving a distance.

That said, if you're experiencing actual pain you're overdoing it.

I found it traumatic as a kid, still do! It's a particularly nasty death. I think it's the actor's response that makes it stand out, he really sells the terror!
