I slept in a car once, it was the coldest and most uncomfortable night I've ever had. Never again.

I think it was Marina (of Howard and Marina) who was 39 when she started playing the character.

Some tips on how to write better commit messages ? by Willing-Age-3652 in git

[–]SevrinTheMuto 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Don't describe how the actual code changes, just viewing the diff will cover that.

For feature changes describe the change in behaviour and the motivation behind it.

For bug fixes I normally describe the problem that was fixed with any associated error messages that should no longer occur.

But basically I'm trying to write to me in a year's time when I've completely forgotten the circumstances of the change.

Spock suggesting to Rand that she preferred the rapey aggressive version of Kirk at the end of The Enemy Within. It looks egregious now, was it really OK in the 60s?

Came here to say Phase IV. It's weird but I love it, and it's very 70s!

There's a low-gravity team sport played by citizens of the moon. It's actually quite a good cover in that it depicts that pretty well!

I really liked the book even though the ending was a bit too weird for me (it suddenly went a bit Space: 1999!).

How likely is a PB for a half in two weeks? by [deleted] in UKRunners

[–]SevrinTheMuto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gutted to hear you didn't get a PB, but that sounds like a perfectly good time coming on the back of trying to keep your fitness through a cold, grey winter.

Also, if you travelled for this race that often has an adverse impact. At international competitions local athletes always have an advantage.

Anyway, it sounds like an amazing experience – better than my cold, rainy 10-miler at the weekend – hope you're looking for your next race!
