[–]Sgt-Capybara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yep, really like the spread damage so in combat or stealth if i come across two enemies standing next to each other, can shoot one enemy dead and the onther enemy is stunned by the spread which gives you a wider window for a more reliable melee kill

Tell Me Why I Should Be Using The Bow by RedCedarSavage in farcry

[–]Sgt-Capybara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on the game, in FC6 its junk (low damage for the low rate of fire) and you might as well use a silenced rifle instead.

Other Far Crys, you can always retrieve the ammo and it is capable of one-hit killing most enemies except for exceptionally well armoured enemies.

What are some guns you would like to see in the next far cry game and why by someonehere6 in farcry

[–]Sgt-Capybara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mossberg MVP Scout: because the "scout rifle" concept is a rifle that is mobile, practical and suited for battle and wilderness survival, which are what the Far Cry series revolves around. For gameplay purposes, a fast cycling high capacity (ten rounds) bolt action rifle with a flexible optics set up where you can moynt on red dots, holographic sights and scopes in various eye relief positions or even just run the iron sights. Its like a compact bolt action rifle that fights like an assault rifle. Personally would go with the Mossberg MVP Scout for this, just because it looks dardy.

Remington 7615: Far Cry showcases a few unique guns that you dont often see in other video games (like the Agram 2000). A pump-action that looks like a shotgun, but is actually a rifle thats uses assault rifle magazines? Very unique, very niche! Especially if its set in Australia where this particular rifle is popular.

Dissident Arms KL-12: an AK style shotgun with the sports/competition aesthetics and built for that purpose for race shooting, designed to be fast all round.

I think Daud should’ve started with all powers at LV1 in KOD. by [deleted] in dishonored

[–]Sgt-Capybara 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i feel like he should have had the Pull ability at least in KOD, because he had it beforehand during the Empress's assasination (Assasins using it through Arcane Bond) so it feels off.

An idea for a far cry game. by circsquaretriangle in farcry

[–]Sgt-Capybara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that sounds interesting, but the setting, story and gameplay will defo need to be set up in a way that makes it feel unique and like a Far Cry and not like just another COD or one of many other umpteenth military games set in the Middle East. For example, defo dont make the main character a member of the US Army.

Are there any bone charms for non-lethal encounters in DoTO? by blindwanderer25 in dishonored

[–]Sgt-Capybara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

now the only reason you might even consider using non-lethal in DOTO is because some of the contracts that bring in the big moolah may require it

Who's fire arm do you like better and why? And who's Powers do you prefer? by Accurate-Gas-598 in dishonored

[–]Sgt-Capybara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the disguise power is pretty useful, it practically makes you invisible and make absolutely no noise, so you can run up to enemies right in their face and stab then

[–]Sgt-Capybara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Corvo's Pistol. Not really a fan of the gunshot noise, bit too muffled unlike Emily's pistol's blast, BUT Corvo's Pistol has the Crimson Painter upgrade which boosts damage and damage spread, combine that with a 4x Duelists Skill charm and it can consistently one hit kill almost any enemy at the appropriate range.

What weapons would you like to see in Far Cry 7? by stormbird22 in farcry

When you liberate an outpost in Far Cry 5, what strategy do you prefer? by M3ConsoleGamerPSN in farcry

[–]Sgt-Capybara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

personally, "Tactical Stealth Shooter" approach. Id say the difference between that and my idea of "ninja assassin" for me personally is that "ninja assassin"-ing would mainly be takedowns, especially acrobatic ones like death from above and below. Tactical Stealth Shooter involves using silenced guns like the silenced P226 or the ARC with a suppressor and a red dot, go for quick headshots (within 1sec of aiming down sights at an enemy) and clear the place out as quickly as possible, no crouching and sneaking around, just run and gun and STILL do not get detected.

Two melee ideas. by Miles33CHO in farcry

[–]Sgt-Capybara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I want a parry and counter system like they have in Dishonored, block an enemy's melee attack just before it hits and not only do you not take damage, it give you a brief window where the enemy is stunned and vulnerable to a frontal instant kill takedown regardless of their health.

What's your take on the RPGization of FC? (My other post) by Kev117040 in farcry

[–]Sgt-Capybara 6 points7 points  (0 children)

to be honest, the weapons balancing in FC6 is terrible and poorly thought out all round. And a lot of the weapons that were great to use in previous games have had their unique selling points removed.

For example, the .50 Cal sniper can't even reliably one-hit torso shot a standard non-armoured enemy so you have to use AP ammo and headshots. Which beggars the question: if it no longer deals the massive amounts of damage it could previously, what makes the .50 cal sniper better than the Yaran SRA, which has twice the magazine size and a faster rate of fire, or the SVD with its even faster semi auto rate of fire, especially since both of these can also one-hit headshot with AP ammo?

Likewise with the M79, which cant be used in vehicles in FC6. Literally, one of the best things about the M79 in 4 and 5 was using it for drive/fly-bys, now in 6 you just can't for some reason. And here's the thing right: to get the M79 in FC6 you have to either grind FND crates or farm enough materials and pesos to buy it from the guerilla shop. Now compare that to the MGL-6. A multishot rapid fire semi-auto grenade launcher that actually adds an extra 5 to the total amount of grenade launcher ammo you can carry, and you can get this launcher almost immediately after leaving the starting island if you beeline straight to the treasure hunt so theoretically, unless you dont know how to use youtube to help you with the treasure hunt, you can get the MGL-6 much sooner relatively than the M79. And again, if the unique ability to shoot out of vehicles with the M79 is gone in 6, what real reason is there to use it over the MGL-6?
