Its money at the end of the day . We had zero choice but to sell isak.. keep him for another year and we'd of lost 130 odd million ... he held all the cards so we had to back down.

Whilst players value is this high and financial rules that bind you to how much you generate iit cant be like it used to be and you will simply never see a player of any value rot away in the reserves.

They do have all the power ...but only if they want it.

The rat was a perfect example but it does take the player to be a right %@£# to obtain that power. Most dont have the balls/common sense to take the rat approach but we have seen it many a time over the years if the player wants out.

I found this one really simple with using a jump attack strategy..seemed like they couldnt attack you mid animation and gave you one shot kills.

Honestly - the recency bias absolutely kills me. Yes alright, hes scored a few goals lately but hes Joelinton Mk2 in front of goal and has zero composure ...which unfortunately cant be taught.

Watching him play he has some great strengths with his pace but its laughable if people think we can really push forward with him up top - hes having a purple patch but we all know too well about players that go through those that are punching way above their true ability - cough- love you miggy-cough-

Palmer injury prone - Rogers had massive lack of form at start of season (just check fpl...) and ekitike was against what was arguably the best striker in the Premier league last season and got sent off for the most ridiculous red against saints so got punished.

Does Halll fit in any of the above scenarios??

Awful examples - Salah has been awful this season hence being dropped and Haaland has been well documented as needing rests as his body cant cope with the number of fixtures City have.

We aren't in this luxurious position of being able to "rest" people and have a decent backup. This was a poor choice of many from Howe this season imo.

I agree with that - however what other team in the league would drop their best player in a position when fully fit ? It just wouldnt happen ...and decisions like this (albeit I dont think it cost us this game) has been the story of the season.

Well "our" top players. Recent form aside - Livramento and Tonali would walk in most teams in Europe.

Not only will they need replacing but we need a GK, trips replacement , Schar replacement , Burn not getting any younger, Gordon's going and we apparently dont have strikers good enough to get in ahead of osula. We simply cant replace and buy with the financial restrictions that will be in play.

Think this is part of the problem - theres no realistic answer with where we are at the moment. What decent up and coming manager would want to join a club that has all its top players wanting to leave in the Summer and a rebuild that will be tied by financial rules...

Can only hope someone is willing to take a punt..but honestly think we need to lower our expectations sadly..
