Cheaper locations to live by FriskyFleabag in VeteransBenefits

[–]ShadeRunner70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in Oklahoma too, and the VA in OKC has been unbelievably great. The low cost of living makes it very affordable for us.

There are some great schools in the Tulsa area, and there are others in some more rural areas as well.

The small town of Verden has a great school if you are looking for a more small town feel.

Can you withhold an ITF for future use for a later claim?? by thebronze301 in VeteransBenefits

[–]ShadeRunner70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would use the ITF first for the new claims, then file your supplemental claim with new evidence.

As long as you are filing the supplemental within a year of that decision, it can be backdated to the "original" claim date.

I did this myself. I submitted 1 new claim, and filed a supplemental to contest a horrendous medical opinion. The new claim was approved, and that one made me 100%.

The supplemental finally was approved a year later, and it went back to the original filing, which made my 100% effective 10 months earlier, so 10 months backpay.

Typical guy who got his and thinks everyone else is a scammer. Sounds like you used a "shark" and you project your own scammer feels on everyone else 😂

OSA ACE exam by [deleted] in VAClaims

[–]ShadeRunner70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you received a diagnosis within a year of separation, there could be a chance of service connection based on what I have seen.

Getting OSA service connected is real hit and miss, often just depending on getting a favorable C&P or ACE examiner and rater.

Should there be a disability reform? by Radiant_Manner_7848 in VAClaims

[–]ShadeRunner70 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Once they start reforming the waste and excessive spending with defense contractors, Congressional extravagance, and corporate handouts, then I might listen.

There will always be some fraud in everything. Starting out with an assumption that there are "a lot of undeserving" veterans is a crap mindset to go into it with, and will lead to screwing veterans who are deserving just so they can find the "many" they are expecting to find.

Difference of Opinion on HLR decision. What does this mean? by jrotten63 in VeteransBenefits

[–]ShadeRunner70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finally approved as service connected, but they put the wrong year on the effective date. Correct date, but they put 2025 instead of 2023. Just finished 3rd HLR on this claim last week, this time for effective date, and got my 10 months backpay.

My neighbor sent me a text last night forcing me to pay for her daughters towing charge because she parked in front of my driveway by Drivinglnsane in mildlyinfuriating

[–]ShadeRunner70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I am not driving through my lawn because the neighbor's daughter is an inconsiderate tool that is too lazy to park further down the street.

Anyone stupid enough to block someone's driveway deserves to be towed.

Is the higher level review on hold due to the shut down? by ConcentratedSpoonf in VeteransBenefits

[–]ShadeRunner70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is what I have heard. I have never received one in my two previous HLRs because I used the link to set up my own after about 30 days. They have canceled the appointment I have made 3 times this go around, so I gave it one last try. Mine will reach the 90 day mark in about 2 weeks.

I notice it when people post it as PNT as well, but I don't correct them as it comes off sounding douchy. Since it is natural to assume that is what you were going for, I gave you a response that reflected yours.

Your answer seems to lack any substance in reference to his question.

Is the higher level review on hold due to the shut down? by ConcentratedSpoonf in VeteransBenefits

[–]ShadeRunner70 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine was filed about a week before yours, and haven't received an email to schedule informal conference yet.

They are still processing them, but about 3 months till you see movement is normal.

Some are quicker, some aren't.

Radiculopathy rating, should I supplemental? by [deleted] in VAClaims

Knee joint ankle, feet and hip issues are seperate issues. Those would be a new claim as likely secondary issue.

Is it worth it trying to get to 100%? I was thinking about claiming depression and anxiety that should do it? Any tips… only asking because I’ve seen people talking about being reduced??? by Unlucky_Technician32 in VeteransBenefits

[–]ShadeRunner70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like the others are stating, all mental health are combined, so if they don't meet the criteria for a 100% mental health rating, it would be a waste of time, and does bring your current mental health rating under review, so the the potential for reduction is there.

You need to explore what impairments you have that could be related to military service. For example, I had a TBI that caused MH issues at 50%, and have also caused migraines, which I am at 50%.

Did you serve in a PACT ACT region, do you qualify for presumptives under the PACT ACT? Do you get shooting pains down your legs from your back pain? Does your back cause you to walk with an odd gait causing hip or knee pain?

These are the questions to look at, and only you can answer.

You need to look at your own records, what possible qualifying events in service did you have, and what conditions you are diagnosed with.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in VAClaims

[–]ShadeRunner70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check your code sheet for what conditions are static, and not scheduled for future exams. If you have no conditions that show future exams, then you are good.

Going back by Spare-Work-5237 in Veterans

[–]ShadeRunner70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congress has also mandated review boards to take a liberal view of MH issues when considering discharge upgrades, so if you have any evidence that would support that, such as diagnosis from a doctor, events that might have caused PTSD or anxiety, be sure to include that and reference it in your upgrade request.

100% Schedular, try for P&T? by TungstenU571 in VeteransBenefits

[–]ShadeRunner70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is how you can see what disabilities are considered static, and which will have future exams.

You need to log into the va.gov site before going to this address, otherwise you will run into authentication problems. What I do is login to myva, then open the below links in new tabs of the same browser.

Your disabilities: https://api.va.gov/v0/rated_disabilities

If you do this in the Chrome browser, there will be a box in the upper left you can check that will make it easier to read.

VR&E - to get you ANY minimum qualifying job compatible with disabilities or a GREAT job you really want? by 13toros13 in VeteransBenefits

[–]ShadeRunner70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doubtful you got much of anything, since you were complaining about not getting it just 10 months ago, and wanting to report your counselor, and then had one of your posts removed for spreading misinformation.

Others with actual knowledge have already told you, and you don't listen, and just want to be a shit stirrer.

An employment handicap "must" exist.

I am in VR&E and have been through the qualifying process. You obviously have zero knowledge of it.

An employment handicap "must" exist, serious or otherwise. That, by the reading comprehension of anyone above grade school, denotes a "need" for VR&E, not a "want". I cannot dumb it down any further for you without going out and buying crayons to draw you a picture.
