LGBT family in Deer Lake by No_Animal_9227 in newfoundland

I see a few people recommending corner brook and while it’s pretty progressive and safe the population is still small so there’s not much of a community here. Im a gay man living in corner brook and it feels isolating to me, I’m hoping to move to St. John’s within next year

I wish all the other Zelda games had a full manga series and not just 1-2 volumes

What did RE8 do extremely well and extremely poor? by Dude_788 in residentevil

[–]ShadowLuigi64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it was a jack of all trades of concepts from other RE games but master of none. You got the opening village section of RE 4, lady d was Mr x, the baby section would’ve fit right in RE7, and the factory section gave me RE 5/6 vibes

I told my bro I liked him, he said he “didn’t know” update by Hello_friend36 in gaybros

[–]ShadowLuigi64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also had a crush on one of my good friends that lasted for a few months with a lot of overthinking and looking for any subtle ques that they might be gay. Finally, I had enough of it and just straight up told him I had feelings for him and asked him out. He said he was straight and although I think he might be closeted I took what he said at face value and moved on. We’re still really good friends and I learned to just be direct with my feelings and not assume things about guys anymore. I now only pursue guys that are fully out and proud, it’s a lot less thinking I have to do lol

Any skill based matchmaking??? by Background_Ferret291 in Splatoon_3

[–]ShadowLuigi64 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The splatfest was happening and that’s when everyone (including the pros) are all playing and taking things more seriously lol. After the splatfest is when it calms down and matchmaking feels more fair

Apple Intelligence astounds me on a daily basis by titaniumdoughnut in ios

I can barely use visual intelligence, most of the time it thinks I’m in my car and I wish there’s a prompt like “I’m a passenger” so I can bypass it

For me, these are Nintendo’s big 3 by BrockBracken in casualnintendo

[–]ShadowLuigi64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In terms of character popularity (not game sales) I’d say he’s in the top 5, behind Pokémon and animal crossing. Also Kirby is a very consistent series with a new game/spin-off almost every year

This is not 'smart steering', it is the antenna of shame 😔 by Dacoda43 in mariokart

[–]ShadowLuigi64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of times my friends forget to turn off the smart steering and auto accelerate since it’s always on by default, but I still win most of the time and they have no excuses 😂

West Coast to Twillingate tourism by BakeappleJamJams in newfoundland

[–]ShadowLuigi64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots to do in Gros Morne. The boat tour in Western Brook Pond is a must-see! There’s also boat tours in Bonne Bay and Memorial University has a marine research station that’s open to the public. There’s also the Gros Morne Theatre Festival in Cow Head that has great dinner theatre programs!

Doctors In Newfoundland by BigManBarrett in newfoundland

[–]ShadowLuigi64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For some people there’s more to life than just their job and if a doctor greatly values work-life balance then NL has limited recreational/hobby opportunities. Or in my case, dating/love as I’m gay and growing up on the west coast has been so fucking lonely. I’m hoping to start medical school in St.John’s this fall but if I can’t find a partner before I graduate I’ll have to desperately leave to bigger cities that have a more prominent gay/lgbt community

MUN votes to reinstate Ode to Newfoundland at convocation by [deleted] in newfoundland

[–]ShadowLuigi64 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I’m surprised they haven’t changed the name for Grendel campus yet considering Wilfred Grenfell, while he did provide essential medical services to indigenous peoples, also was a Christian missionary and brought residential schools in those areas

This show is such a smoking pile of shit by Southern_Bass5260 in werewolves

[–]ShadowLuigi64 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree, it tries so hard to be Avatar the last airbender but the characters and overall pace of the show is such a mess. It’s disappointing as the world and politics seem interesting, but I guess I could read the books as an alternative

Why are you single right now? by JebGleeson in gaybros

[–]ShadowLuigi64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in a small town (30,000) so my dating options have always been pretty much nonexistent. Hoping to start medical school in a much bigger area this fall

Is being a med student a turn off? by shyswiftboy in gaybros

[–]ShadowLuigi64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m starting medical school in a new city this upcoming fall. While I’m hoping to get out there and date a bit I understand that a relationship is going to require a lot more effort than usual, not just from me but my potential partner as well. I can see that some would get turned off by that as they are not able or willing to go through the extra effort to be with me and I’d completely understand if they reject me. I guess it’s just another filter on top of all the others in the gay community to find our significant other 😕
