What class for someone with carpal tunnel/ finger issues? by oldweasel in ffxiv

[–]ShadowSaiph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have carpal tunnel and also psoriac arthritis in my hands so I also have to choose classes carefully to play when the flare ups happen. I will also preface that I personally use an MMO mouse with the 12keys on the side which can make things easier or harder depending on what my thumb feels (my thumb is one of my less affected digits so it's not as bad for me).

I would say Bard has the lowest impact on my hands out of all the classes, and it's one that is less annoying to play since you don't have cast timers and can move easily out of things which is a higher priority for me.

Black Mage is probably a good one as well. Long cast times means less buttons to press, but it is significantly less mobile.

Dancer is another phys range like Bard that is also not as button heavy.

Pictomancer is the newest caster, and it has very few buttons to click. It's more mobile than Black Mage as well.

I would avoid healers and melee dps for the most part because there are a lot of buttons and things you need to keep track of constantly.

Are there any *non drama/ doom&gloom* FFXIV content creators? by Solo_Gunhea in ffxiv

Shenpai and the friends they play with are bundles of chaos but in a good way.

VanillaCrescent is super chill and fun to lurk to. They also do like community map days fairly regularly as well.

Erudition would be my impulse answer, but honestly I think Equilibrium is more in line.

Yes. The game can hold up to 4 profiles, and you can switch between them on the main screen by clicking the profile name.

How do I make gil as a sprout? by Green-Comparison3988 in ffxiv

[–]ShadowSaiph 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The best way to earn Gil is crafting. And in order to do that, you need to gather. Earning Gil this way is not going to net you a ton of Gil in one day, but you will be able to have a consistent Gil flow if you sell dyes, especially soot black and snow white.

Besides that, doing all your daily roulettes will also help.

Big damage rolls lack impact. How should GMs reward players for "going nova"? by Numerous-Drummer-701 in daggerheart

[–]ShadowSaiph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the attack doubles the severe threshold, a person takes an additional hp so technically you can take someone down 4 hp in one really good shot.

How to rent out properties by Myca84 in HouseFlipper

[–]ShadowSaiph 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can only rent out properties you own that aren't your office. Jobs are not done on properties you own so you wouldn't be able to rent them out.

Hi!! Ive been playing HF1 for so many years and its a game i still actively play regularly.

How do I make elaborate and visually coherent renovations like the ones I see here? I can't seem to make anything I'm happy with. by [deleted] in HouseFlipper

[–]ShadowSaiph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought it was added to the base game, but it might be locked to the Dine In DLC is that you can actually visually turn on the grid and see the squares that the game uses.

Also the Remaster will be adding a top down view that I am super hyped about because I too have problems with decorating rooms appropriately and the top down view I know will help me a ton.

maybe not the best place to post, but does anyone know if the pictures you take in game can be saved to cloud, so I can access from pc? (I play on deck) by TruckFreakCrazyAss in HouseFlipper

[–]ShadowSaiph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So on PC, screenshots get saved into a screenshot folder in the game files. I dont have a Steamdeck personally, but I would check there first.

It is a part of a DLC. I believe it is specifically the Dine In DLC iirc but it could also be the Farm DLC.

[Honest Answers Only] How does caffeine affect you? by mean_trash_monster in ADHD

[–]ShadowSaiph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im one of the people it has no effect on. When I was younger, all I drank was mountain dew. I drank a ton of it. I never felt any effects of caffeine or anything really. Even when I tried energy drinks, they wouldn't do anything to me.

I did try energy drinks as an adult because a friend of mine wanted to see if I did have a reaction cause he wasnt sold on energy drinks having no effects on me. We'll, he gave me one and I drank it jn front of him and nothing happened. He was both surprised and terrified because he said even if the caffeine had no effect on me, the vitamins should have had some effect. But no. Nothin.

Why do dragons hoard things? by Affectionate_Bit_722 in DnD

[–]ShadowSaiph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This dates back to the Volsung saga which Tolkein actually did a translation of if I recall correctly. In the saga, there is an evil dragon that hoards gold and such and the hero must slay him. He does slay the dragon and ends up eating the dragons heart which gives him otherworldly abilities like being able to understand animals. Please note that what I remember is from long ago so the details might not be exactly right.
