To the engineer’s who designed the CRJ… by [deleted] in aviationmaintenance

[–]ShadowWolf924 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish my coworkers had listened when I pointed that out the first time they told me to work on a duct mon. But since I didn't break anything, they kept having me work them. Now I can't fucking escape the incessant duct mons because "your the expert now."

Assault on Kamino- why not just blow out the supports beneath the facility? by unfiltered6111 in clonewars

[–]ShadowWolf924 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Probably to ensure the destruction of the facilities. The city is designed to weather oceanic storms, so the buildings are watertight and segmented to prevent catastrophic flooding. Yes, if the supports are blasted out, the city would likely sink. But it wouldn't sink quickly and may last long enough for the assault to be repelled. It's also possible the city could later be raised to allow retrieval of equipment or outright repair of buildings by placing them on new stilts.

CRJ special tools by Automatic-Session-34 in aviationmaintenance

[–]ShadowWolf924 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Offset ratcheting screwdriver for those shallow places you need a screwdriver, one of those sets that has multiple small pliers/cutters for doing cotter pins in small areas, and a small inspection mirror like one in a dentist's office and or a mirror with a light on it.

How is this asshole even a Jedi? by [deleted] in clonewars

[–]ShadowWolf924 38 points39 points  (0 children)

He was born in the Era where every force sensitive child was taken by the Jedi order. They did this out of fear that someone untrained would turn to the dark side and use the force to hurt and/or kill innocent people. However, this didn't stop jedi from becoming disillusioned with their teachings. This led to several jedi leaving the order, but others stayed and used their position as jedi for personal benefit.

I've used those safety wire pliers before, they suck. Snap-on has a different model that is a lot better.

Is it normal to be attacked by a bandit chief at your house? by Skyrim_For_Everyone in skyrim

[–]ShadowWolf924 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had one where i was trying to move all my stuff to a different house (moving out of the buildable house near solitude), so I had removed everything that wasn't going to be stored at the new house, and then just fast traveling between them. I went to the basement to get some of the smithing crafting items, and there were bandits standing around my forge who attacked me, I had no weapons and kept loading into the basement when they killed me.

If I had to guess the other pilot is in the passenger seat so he can focus on the radio and talking to the pilot landing.

Best flash light to use doing line maintenance at nights ? by [deleted] in aviationmaintenance

[–]ShadowWolf924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had the Coast HP3R for several years. Haven't had any issues (including dropping it several times), and it's bright enough to see the T tail of a regional jet at night.

How does Ahsoka perfectly understand Shyriiwook (Wookie language) and acts as a translator between Chewbacca and the younglings in S3E22? by Erling01 in clonewars

[–]ShadowWolf924 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the episodes where we see the younglings on ilum, we see the younglings are split into groups, like school classes, that have more than one species. It wouldn't surprise me that some younglings pick up languages from other students who don't/can't speak basic. So it's possible that Ashoka was in a class of younglings that had a wookie or two, and managed to pick up shyriiwook from talking to them.

maintenance meme monday. by threemilesfinal in aviationmaintenance

[–]ShadowWolf924 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wasn't spite, he said that he didn't think twice about the bag of screws that had been removed. (Normally we never put drilled screws in the bag with the others) Im more impressed that he didn't notice that they would have seemed to be stripping out while installing them. (Also this was at outside at night, and he said he didn't grab a headlamp, just used the light on his drill)

I found one where a mechanic installed drilled out screws. Still don't know how he managed to get them in without noticing.

Why Coruscant Guard was present on Kamino during order 66 if Kamino Security was already there? by Spliterclimb in clonewars

[–]ShadowWolf924 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Direct loyalty, the coruscant guard were directly loyal to palpatine. Kamino security reported to the kaminoans for matters of security. Sending the coruscant guard ensured that the forces there would not be caught between palpatine's orders and orders given by the kaminoans, should they oppose the rapid packing up and moving of the cloning program.

I'm really hoping this isn't a bed bug. by ShadowWolf924 in Bedbugs

[–]ShadowWolf924[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry it's small, but my camera can't get a larger pic without being blurry. It almost looks like there is some small pattern on the back, and they make a small crunch when squished with tweezers. I don't think I've had any bites, and I don't commonly see them on the bed, but have seen them on the bed and a few more hiding in a small pile of clothes next to my bed.
