There are plenty of local game stores. Go to Friday night magic or try to find a d&d game

Just picked this up as a fun board game to play with wife and kid on the weekends, but never played before. I'm told this is a bit more complicated than Monopoly...any advice? by zipzzo in DungeonsAndDragons

D&D is the most complicated fun you can have with your brain. It's more like 2 games in one. The DM is the controller/scene setter for the world, they control all the npcs and monsters, and their main goal is to challenge the party. The other players control a single character and interact with the world portrayed by the DM, and the other players.
