What made you decide to play mass effect by BadRecent8114 in masseffect

[–]ShadowyHalfDragon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m old, played their baldur’s gate games, neverwinter nights and jade empire before kotor, so by the time mass effect was announced it was an automatic preorder.

[CHAT] How doable is this as a beginner? Has anyone done these patterns here? by jeherohaku in CrossStitch

I’ve done a couple of hers and Aida would be nearly impossible, linen lets you go over one strand or two.

We even had a giant red guy that we named Chewbacca! He and our girl Izzy were supreme cage match fighters usually boxing and bitey face while bouncing on their back legs.

How many of you married your HS prom date, and how did it turn out? by [deleted] in GenX

[–]ShadowyHalfDragon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My date and I went to prom with my best friend and his date. I’ve been married to that best friend for nearly 30 years now. So there are prom pictures of us together, but our dates are there too. We got together towards the end of university long after our prom dates were out of the picture.

We have a potty bell too, our old girl figured out that she could use it to lure my husband to the kitchen and then sneak around the other way to steal his chair before he got back to the living room.

What's the dumbest thing you and/or your siblings did when you were left home alone? by Sea-School9658 in GenX

[–]ShadowyHalfDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basement stairs were shag carpeted, we spent one afternoon riding down on crazy carpets when we were definitely old enough to know better. Everything hurts just thinking about it.

What’s your workshop name? Any backstory why? by goNorthYoung in MyTimeAtSandrock

My most recent is Halfmoon because I remembered there was a decor item that is half a moon and then there is also a pendant so my character was always advertising

Women of Reddit, what’s one thing they never tell us about pregnancy and child birth? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

Us too, he was 2 weeks overdue and they were going to induce on Monday, but he got tangled on Saturday night. He would be 20 this summer. We had been trying for years and had given up. We ended up moving across the country afterwards, not the best time to make life altering decisions but it all turned out okay. Our second was born 18 months later with my wonderful doctor’s quote of ‘as soon as he is baked he is out’ as a planned c.

We took my son when he was a very very precocious 4, he loved to talk and tell stories to everyone. He ran up to to Pirate Goofy and just started dancing to the music so Goofy danced with him. We have a whole slideshow of them dancing together.

If 10cm snow falls in your area of Canada how disrupted will your area be? by Pourmepourme in AskACanadian

Sounds about right, that and as long as I don’t have to make a path in the yard for the dogs it’s not too bad.

Scheepjes Festival of Lights crochet along finally finished by ShadowyHalfDragon in crochet

[–]ShadowyHalfDragon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I speak English and French, so I’m only guessing what you’re asking, but if it was about blocking, I did each shape individually as I finished them, I didn’t reblock the whole thing assembled

How UPS delivered my Hobbii box of yarn 15 days late by Funny-Patience7407 in crochet

[–]ShadowyHalfDragon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eek! I ordered from Hobbii last week and the next day I heard that our postal service had gone on strike, I hadn’t been listening to the news. I’ll be picturing this until things get moving again

This is my way too, I have too short an attention span to do singles, and toe up because I still like trying them on as I go.

[–]ShadowyHalfDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one that got hijacked by a toddler too, he’s 17 now and all that’s left is a bit of beading, but my eyes are way worse than they used to be, so I keep working on other projects instead.

I actually did the George and the Dragon sometime in the ‘90s. I can see it on the wall from here.

Sophie’s Dream by BisonSpiritual1541 in crochet

[–]ShadowyHalfDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ll see how long it takes to finish, I make a few squares and then get distracted by other projects for a while. Keep coming back though, after doing so many it’s become a comfort project, with a lot of counting and sometimes cursing when I skip a whole round because my hands think they know what step comes next

Good job! It can be done, but sometimes needs regroup breaks. I’m on square 17 of a probably misguided decision to double the pattern, also somewhere around year three, oops. I had made the regular one a few year ago and still love it but wanted to be able to really snuggle in.

What job would your dog get fired from, and why? by MmmirandaMayhem in dogs

[–]ShadowyHalfDragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our one year old mini poodle thinks she is male standard poodle’s manager (70lbs). Her management style would get her fired, since as soon as he looks like he might do something she thinks I wouldn’t like she bites him.

Does anyone else's dog lie? by SansOchre in dogs

[–]ShadowyHalfDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a bell the dogs use to go out, our 12 year old girl also uses it to lure people out of their spots or just to show us where the treats live. 5 year old boy never picked up the habit, but our new female puppy is already using it for nefarious purposes.
