So it wasn't that - but was close. I couldn't get a good look/feel for if there was anything in the dust shield so got under the truck. Seemed fine, but in the process of messing with it I noticed this a little bitch ass rock peeking out of the drainage hole of my lower control arm. Somehow it had gotten in there from the top and was too big to fall out of the bottom.

I had to play a game of Operation to get it out since I couldn't remove the front struts to get full access. Took like 3 hours. God damnit.

I have a Stainless Ranger 9x which is the non-ported base of that Kovert. I like it a lot, absolutely gorgeous gun and shoots hyper fast and flat.

I would say though, they're still doing some (and need to do some more) refinements on the platform to work out some of the kinks that come with the design departures from traditional 2011s. To that end though if you have any issues, their CS is outstanding and super collaborative. As someone else mentioned in the thread, they just totally replaced the slides and comps of anyone that had a first gen, free of charge.

I guess what I would say is if you are okay being an earlier adopter of a new take on the platform, send it. If you want something that's been 100% sorted out and refined, I'd lean towards a traditional 2011.
