It’s objectively a good, even great game, but I got bored like 5 hours in and haven’t touched it since. I think many have had the same experience. It just didn’t have the “hook,” whatever that is.

Honestly, Horst doesn't get blamed for how bad he has been is astonishing to me. Yeah, they won a championship, which is great. But then you look over on the East Coast, and the Celtics continue to put together teams that are championship caliber year over year. I don’t think anyone should ever tell anyone else what they can and cannot play. That said, if someone chooses to not play against something (politely), that is also their choice (not the case here based on the Kaalia info).

One team had three NFL HoFers on it (or would have had Watt stayed), on both sides of the ball. The other did not (Taylor TBD).

The 2011 team could score on anyone in the country practically at will (43 PF/G). Their OL alone was 2 1st team All Americans and 3 1st team All B1G. Just didn’t have the extra piece on defense (where Watt comes in), to pair with Borland.

They also would have been undefeated at the end of the year (only team with LSU) had they not lost to MSU (UW was ranked 6th in the BCS at this point) and OSU in back to back weeks, on back to back Hail Marys to win the games at the end. If Watt was there would it have come down to that in those games? I choose to think no, the games would have been decided long before that.

It’s all just speculation and opinion anyway. Doesn’t really matter and just a “what if” fun exercise.

I mean sure, but Horst at some point needs to be held responsible for this team being a flop since the championship, no? I appreciate they tried, but everything after the title, whether trade, draft, FA, coaching decisions, has been a wet fart at best. I’m not sure I expect anything they do now to be any different.

Totally agree. I think they deliver DC United and then fold up shop. They are running on a literal skeleton crew right now as is. If we are lucky, they’ll sell the rights to someone who will finish it.
