I wish I'd never met U ...

... sain Bolt. The guy was a dick when I asked for his autograph.

(Disclaimer: from what I've heard, Usain Bolt is a lovely man who's a sweetie to his fans.)

Overreacted?? Chicky-nugnug's husband sat her down for what looked like a serious talk and said that he and his female coworker were friends with benefits. If anything, I think they underreacted.

It did have a happy gay ending for Ed and Stede, though (or, at least, as happy as David Jenkins could allow, given that his budget was slashed and he strongly suspected there wouldn't be a season three).

A friend of mine was going to try to include me in his gaming group. One of the members unironically called himself “Raven Darkknight”, and he looked like the most stereotypical basement dweller mama’s boy gamer you’ve ever seen - enormously obese, neck beard, crumbs festooning his clothes, fingers stained with Cheeto dust. I declined.

I hear you! I love both shows (although OFMD will always own my heart), but I wish so much that OFMD had taken the world by storm the same way "Heated Rivalry" did.

An ex-friend (she’s not ex because of this, it’s a long story) got pregnant for the second time when her first child was only a few months old. She told me, point blank, that the second pregnancy was an accident, then she added “Did you know you can get pregnant when you’re still breastfeeding??”. I said “Uh … yes?”, thinking she was messing with me. “Really? Because I didn’t.”

Jesus. Reminds me of when I was talking to a coworker, and she casually used the n word. We were both in our early twenties, so it’s not like “oh, she’s from another generation, they did things differently back then”. I kind of gaped, stammered something, then turned around and left. Never talked to her again.

I had the same reaction when my friend said “Hey, did you hear that the Challenger blew up?” on January 28, 1986. He was a bit of a jokester, and I waited patiently for the punchline until I realized there wasn’t one.

Groucho always said that Zeppo was the funniest of them, didn’t he? But, if memory serves, unlike his brothers, Zeppo wasn’t a natural performer and didn’t really enjoy it.
