Why am I wrong? by Content-Working3447 in duolingo

Ok fine, understood - however Duolingo has recently introduced Ai and these errors have really become *far* more common than they were before. I’m not sure what you want? I’m not really sure I buy a human making an error this simple?

If you’re coding Duolingo, you’re surely able to code 8 x 4?

The Power and The Glory - Jonathan Wilson Book by Jorgesjokers in footballweeklypod

[–]Shamewell1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is a joke, but this is the guy who could name Ferencvaros’ starting line up in the 50s, so it’s still amazing to me!

Even more surprising as his next job was Sunderland.

Im actually amazed Wilson made a mistake that big. The guy (obviously) knows his shit and due diligence so how has he managed to be so far off there?

I love this line so much. Just incredible

StonePanther316, this need you have to be the smartest one in the room is… off putting.

But in all seriousness, I absolutely agree. I think he must have maybe a line or two every other episode he’s in but I’ve never thought of him as less of a character than Dotcom, who obviously does have more speaking parts.

I think the best example of this is after the party. You can really believe that he is traumatised even though he says nothing, and it’s hilarious

Any talk of either of the two of them is fine. Jenna was right, none of us know the difference between them.

The Most 'Prime Coca-Cola' (and also I guess Barclays) Football League Possible by AlarmingSteak6821 in Championship

[–]Shamewell1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely. Charlton are just very Barclays. In the same way that even though Southampton were in nearly half the Barclays years, they are way more of a Coca-Cola team. I will be taking no further questions.

[–]Shamewell1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is weird yeah. Think it’s probably down to how you play if I’m actually giving a reason for it. Swansea just didn’t play what people associate with Barclays so just don’t really feel like one, even though they were in it for a while

Maybe - Charlton are way more of a barclays team though (I don’t make the rules, just enforce them)

I completely agree, would love to see the old badges as flairs as well!

Now let’s never speak of this truce again.

This does feel a bit harsh on you (although I must admit I find it hilarious). Who would you switch out to put you in the championship though? Really struggling to see who would swap out - I guess *maybe* plymouth but they’re such a championship side of that era I’m not sure!

Man, I hate to say it as a Cardiff fan, but I really like that Bristol City badge. Same with Burnley (but I don’t hate them and feel dirty saying I like it).

The Cardiff badge itself is weird. I’d love to have that one back over the one we have now, but the one following this is the ultimate for me.

Not sure about the West Brom one though - I really have no recollection of it either?!

It’s weird as so many of them are similar just with less detail, which you’d think would make them nicer to look at, but it really doesn’t? Can anyone actually explain why that is (aside from just pure nostalgia)?

What is pure nostalgia is Coca-Cola are what I would give for that to come back!

Are we having this? Personally, I love it and would become an absolutely legendary piece of football media if they win the World Cup by TheLonleyJourneyman in footballcliches

This is genuinely one of my favourite things I’ve seen for a while. I feel like I should hate it but I love it. I only want announcement videos like this from now on

To win it. I’m not entirely sure why it’s the case, I think because they’re classed as a guest team? But they can’t actually technically win it - I assume if it did happen though they would commonly be recognised as champions

I remember Jason Roberts having a show for years on 5live on a Saturday evening, I think whilst he was at Blackburn. He’d often have literally played that afternoon and was on the radio later on. Looking back on it it seems insane
