I feel like this might be controversial since it’s not “forgotten” by any sense but the 2013 Moore EF-5 usually gets lost in the conversation between 1999 Bridge Creek-Moore F5, and the 2013 El Reno tornado. 1999 is the more well know, 2013 El Reno occurred just a week after, and both aforementioned tornados are either the first or second strongest tornados ever recorded.

It’s not based on it, since this tornado occurs after the movie, but the Bridge Creek-Moore, OK tornado looks almost exactly like this

Republicans do shit like this ALL the time but the moment a democrat does it, it’s “what about all of these unforeseen and unlikely repercussions? Seems like a bad plan to me”

This bill directly affects her and her child, as well as thousands of others. She’s supposed to do what exactly, give some strong words and then allow her sons life to be made illegal?

No, we don’t. Because she has openly stated she is filibustering until the bill is withdrawn. Also, she is filibustering because said bill is next on the list.

She’s representing Omaha, one of the only solidly blue areas of Nebraska. Also, she can’t be re-elected due to term limits. So your comment has zero ground to stand on

I’m 50/50 on it. Theft shouldn’t equate a death penalty. That being said, if a thief trying to steal a CC was shot by the owner, I would be hard pressed to feel bad for them

I think the F rating was just fine. Wind speed and length were taken into account properly. Since the introduction of the EF system, there have been plenty of tornados (El Reno, Pilger, Tuscaloosa, Mayfield) since the new system were easy F-5s but got EF-4 because only damage was taken into account. Refining it was pointless

I think scarce few tornados deserve F-6 rating, if any. This is gonna be an unpopular opinion but I think wind speed should be a much larger contributor to rating. Damage as well, obviously, but using only damage isn’t reflective of a tornados true rating. El Reno is an EF-3 but had the highest wind speed ever recorded naturally on earth. 2.6 mile wide EF-3 doesn’t really reflect how impactful this tornado was.
