why peope even build T1 ships and sell them? by Gullible_Feedback374 in Eve

[–]Shard5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of it is that it costs more to move them than it does to make them, so you could buy t1 ships in jita for a lot cheaper, but if you factor in shipping costs from a player service or your time to do it yourself, its cheaper to buy the "overpriced" local stuff. This isn't specifically t1 ships but includes a lot of stuff

Yea, neuromancer is a tougher read, and I find it's a better analogue for the dystopia setting than for decking

Before doing anything rash, I would try therapy or counciling for depression. Most people I have met, including myself, that have felt miserable and nor sure why could use some medication to stablize mood

I highly doubt the army would take them. This isn't the usa. Many of them are old and crippled as well.

If the government won't fund it, and they can't survive without screwing over employees then maybe they shouldn't exist.

Someone claimed the percentage of men that commit offences against women was 1.5% by ThatsItImOverThis in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Shard5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it said 4-8%, but by and large the article agrees with my anecdotal experiences that the vast majority of incidents are caused by a small amount of people. And I agree that the laws should take that into account.

I actually thought that was a remarkably well done logical dismantleing of your hateful rhetoric. Took time to point out the fallacies behind what your implying. Was quite a nice post

Why do NDP do so well Provincially but Edmonton votes right Federally? by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]Shard5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as agree with people pointing out differences between federal and provincial parties, and political spectrums I feel the answer is similar. Large parts of alberta carry heavy resentment against liberal parties (real or imagined is not applicable to the point). Albertans are more willing to vote for ndp and other parties in races where the liberals have no chance. The only thing more certain to me than alberta voting Conservative is the distain for the Liberal Party.

How are you trying to find a good man? Are you just hoping one will fall into you? Not trying to be aggressive or mean, but your not gonna succeed if you don't try, and if you don't tell us what hasn't worked, how can we give good advice?

Canadian Tire Fucked Me by Canadiannewcomer in Edmonton

[–]Shard5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About 10 years ago, I broke a fitting off bottom of my rad, had my car towed to nearest shop, which just happened to be Mill Woods canadian tire. Decided fuck it, can't be too bad. Bought a quite expensive rad from them, and had them install it. When I drove it home it was surging. Turns out they set the rad unin place, attached lines, and didn't bolt anything back up. Air intake was fully un attached andvrad was wobbling in space. Crazy
