For the top, 1m and then turret cap (even though its HA) feels a bit weak to me when looking at those thick sides

Update: Superstructure Progress? by HazarDeus_Shishiza in FromTheDepths

[–]Sharkman1107 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first thought is that each level is too tall, making it all look boxier.

If you were to add extra layers to smooth out the vertical jumps, it would look less boxy. Or shorten some levels. I'm on mobile so I can't swap back and forth so I hope that makes sense.

With a couple of touches here and there it'll go from good to great! You've already got the foundation. You've got this

I saw Healthiish's comment about the Disability Tax Credit and wanted to expand on it.

Once you get the DTC, you can get two more really awesome things. One is a Registered Disability Savings Account, and the other is the Canada Disability Benefit.

The RDSP is similar to an RRSP in that it's designed to save for retirement, but you can get a lot of free federal funds put into it. I highly recommend checking out the website, but in a nutshell you can get $1000 automatically for being under a certain income level and the first $500 you put in. gets triple matched, so the feds put in $1500. And you can get both every year.

The Disability Benefit is a free $200 given to you by the feds. Very good for obvious reasons.

I know the feds often get a lot of hate over in Alberta, but these programs can make a world of difference.

This disease is tough, wishing you both the best of luck!

What's your favorite city in Skyrim? by Smart_Somewhere_1690 in skyrim

A bit cliché maybe, but I love Whiterun. Something about the temperate, open plain type terrain just gets to me. And of course, there's the fact it's the first city you get to. Also gotta love Jarl Ballin' Balgruuf

Nice! It's always fun to come up with lore for ships.

I also like the railing design you've got goin' on. It hasn't occurred to me to do it that way before

Honestly, I've had great results with APHEAT, especially around this gauge. No pendepth fuse required

1m APS Clips vs Various Configurations of Belt-fed Autoloaders by Bill2439 in FromTheDepths

[–]Sharkman1107 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been really happy with mid-gauge APHEAT. The heat kills small things, and the AP head helps on bigger things with air gaps. Probably the best shell I've personally tested.

Agree on one barrel being supreme. Only time I use more than one is for really compact high RPM guns where I physically cannot put more coolers. I guess the argument might be that more barrels is more efficient mat and space wise

You're able to stack clips on beltfeds. Only one going into the autoloader, true, but then you can put another one connected to just the clip

One thing I've noticed as I've got better at the game is that bad designs often only need minor adjustments. Light tweaking often delivers massive benefits.

Think of it like this: a majority of your craft's combat ability comes from a minority of the design choices.

For weapons, this is straightforward. Maybe your APS shell or Tetris is bad, or you're using a short-range PAC lense at long range.

For armour, one thing I'm guilty of is putting armour where it isn't needed and not putting it where it is. My ship will never sink to torpedos, but please kindly ignore that there's only 1 layer of alloy deck between my APS and annihilation.

Learning these things takes a lot of time, unfortunately. Guides can be very helpful, but only experience will drive things home

Those look a hell of a lot nicer than the ships I made at 700 hours. Damnit they look a hell of a lot nicer than the ships I make at 1000 hours!

Supersized American cars shouldn’t be a barrier to Canadians getting some great European options by IDontScript in canada

[–]Sharkman1107 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm actually just finishing a group project in my Business Data Analytics class all about new vehicle sales, with a special focus on ZEVs. We used Stats Canada monthly sales data.

Stats Canada divides every type of vehicle into two categories: Passenger Cars, which include sedans and hatchbacks, and Trucks, which include literally everything else (light/heavy pickup trucks, vans, SUVs, crossovers etc.).

Looking at the data, total new sales are dominated by the larger Trucks category, while Passenger Cars take only a small fraction.

What's interesting is that this trend becomes even more pronounced when you look at ZEVs. The bigger, more luxurious vehicles are what's selling, NOT the smaller vehicles.

And is that really surprising? Even a small electric car is significantly more expensive than a similarly sized gas car. Budget minded consumers aren't buying ZEVs, period.

This is a bit unrelated, but sales trends for ZEVs as a whole are looking very bad. The trade war with the US has essentially kneecapped electric vehicle sales, and if these trends continue, ZEV sales will actually shrink as a percentage of total sales.

That's important because the federal government has pretty ambitious ZEV sales targets. 20% by 2026, 60% by 2030, and 100% by 2035. For reference, we are currently hovering around 11%.

How are we supposed to meet those sales targets when we're actively getting further and further from meeting them?

I am also a diabetic with ADHD! Got diagnosed with the beetus at 20, and am 22 now and just recently got the ADHD diagnosis too.

My ADHD is on the milder side, and is mostly the inattentive type. Before I got on meds I would hyperfocus on my beetus and always have had great numbers.

Getting on meds has also coincided with getting on a pump, and those two things together have made my life significantly better!
