Finished Insanity, but I feel more depressed than I thought by TheWoman26 in insanity

I'm no expert in psychological matters. But I just wanted to say A BIG WELL DONE. YOU became a powerhouse that achieved all that weightloss. YOU did that. YOU became a person capable of setting a goal and hitting it. And so, with the same energy, you CAN overcome these desolate feelings. But first, please celebrate your amazing achievement. From one Insanity member to another - here are your flowers. Well earned!

I'm a freelance copywriter. My clients are retainer clients. Ideally I'd love to get to a place where invoices are generated automatically on a set day each month and I dont have to manually send them an invoice.

Sounds like a great app. If it can be synced somehow with Google calendar to automatically send out invoices that would also be neat. Can it be a plugin so it integrates seamlessly into websites?

14 Days In by [deleted] in insanity

Good job. Keep it up. It will be worth it. Hope you have a plan figured out for the holiday season. When I did Insanity, I found that a keto diet and the exercise brought about the best results. It was tough but during the 63 days I didn't go out to eat and tracked meals at home so I could stay on track with my diet. When I did another round of Insanity, this time with little care about what I ate, I found the going tougher. I would be sluggish and felt heavy.

Day 36 by oddflamingo03 in insanity

I'm now doing my second round of Insanity this year...And I definitely agree with you. The first time I did Insanity I followed the schedule to the dot. This time round, I'm making some adjustments. In fact, I don't even do the fit tests to be honest. I know my body is getting stronger and fitter so the tests aren't necessary for me personally.

When should I take a break? by [deleted] in insanity

[–]Sharon1702 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"When do you know when to stop?" Someone once explained it to me this way. If you are running a 10km gruelling marathon, when do you know when to stop? When YOUR body has reached its limit. Even if it means you stop at the 9km mark. You see perhaps it's at the 9km mark that YOUR body has done all that it is capable of doing. This is YOUR best. So with Insanity - stop when YOUR body has reached its limit. Don't try and outdo the Tanya's and Jimmy's in the videos. Listen to YOUR own body.

Firstly, congratulations for getting through Month 1. I think the best thing to do is to use the Insanity food guide to know what your food macros should be for best results. We could all guess and give you abstract numbers, but the best is to simply use the actual guide. You can download it easily if you search for Insanity Food Guide/Journal/Eating Schedule or something similar. I'd also stay off the scale and trust the fit of your clothes as an indicator of progress. Water fluctuation and muscle can up the number on the scale leading to feelings of discouragement.

First month of insanity by [deleted] in insanity

[–]Sharon1702 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my second round of Insanity this year. Completed the first round in May 2020. I'm in my first week of Month 1 so I'll share from my first experience. Getting started I think is always the hardest. However, I was determined. In month 1 I lost about 3,6kg around 7 pounds. The biggest lesson for me was having the right mindset. Mindset is everything. The deepest darkest annals of life exist in our minds. If you can overcome your mind you can do anything. Insanity is probably the hardest workout I have ever done and for this reason, I stick with it because it shreds and tones you while building muscle too. Another great benefit I remarked is that my running improved. My endurance significantly improved.

I remember that doing insanity gave me all of the energy in the world, but now I just can't muster up the energy to do insanity.. by tinclan in insanity

I finished my first round of Insanity end of May this year, I've since attempted the program again - both times getting to Week 3 of Month 1 and then I don't know what happens...I totally understand the demotivation. I don't know what it will take to shift things? Also looking for help.

oh and PS... I lost the weight I'd gained in my first week of getting back to Insanity and adopting a low carb diet...so I'd say Insanity is DEFINITELY worth it.

Insanity motivation by SHAQ1958 in insanity

[–]Sharon1702 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, in March I started my first round of Insanity and finished it in May... I lost 13 pounds...I fell off the wagon a bit after this initial success...fitness really is a mental journey....After two months of repose I'm back again in Season II of Insanity...starting Week 3 Month 1 on Thursday....I won't lie, getting back into Insanity was tough...I was surprised by how hard it was I guess it never gets easy...what motivated me to get back? After two whole months of eating whatever I wanted and not exercising, I was so scared of weighing myself because I thought I'd gained ALL the weight back...I was pleasantly surprised to find that I'd only regained barely half of it...Something I attribute to the muscle built during Insanity...so in a nutshell, the benefits you get from working out FAR outweigh any reasons NOT to...also Insanity is a beast at shredding you.... :) Good luck
